INTRODUCTION
This is the second Redpack. Again, it has only 3 levels. This time, I checked the bugs and I’m sure there’s no bugs. If you see them, tell me. I used only one tileset this time, Newspaz’s JJ1 Tubelectric.
You’ll find it in the zip file. There’s also song3.s3m (Original music of the tileset) included, but when I tested the levels, I didn’t hear it, so I used JJ2 Tubelectric music (tubelec). There are only Norm Turtles in the levels, because JJ2 sparks act diffirently than JJ1 sparks.
LEVELS
Electromania – I made the level in about 4 days to make sure there’s no bugs. chandie said: the levels need puzzles. Well, there’s no puzzles, but there is a ‘secret’ in the beginning. You have to be quick if you want to enter.
Power is Off – I hope you’re not scared of dark. There’s a secret in the level. That’s the only level with a bonus warp.
Bolly’s Electric Kingdom – The level is completely empty. At the end is Bolly.
Again, tell me the bugs if you see them.

“There are only Norm Turtles in the levels, because JJ2 sparks act diffirently than JJ1 sparks.” …so? JJ2’s Normal Turtles also act differently than JJ1’s turtle goons.

That’s true, but the only diffirence between Norm Turtles and Turtle Goons is that Norm turtles can bite you if you come close to them while JJ1 turtles just walk left & right.
About sparks:
JJ1 sparks just follow you if you turn your back to them. JJ2 sparks can move in any direction and they frequently hide in walls so you can’t shoot them.

Not True. The turtles in JJ2 are a tad bit smarter. They hide in their shell soemtimes, also once you beat one, their shell is left behind. Not to mention the fact that like some JJ2 enemies, the Turtles have an idle animation.
Onto the review:
These levels are very linear. Dont get confused by the ‘branching path” concept it tries to use. While the seperate areas for Jazz and Spaz in the second level seems compelling, the text telling you about this warns you way to late. While on the subject of the second level, the majority of the vertical springs get you stuck in a wall. The ones with a 1 tile passage to be precise. I got fed up with this the second time it happened and skipped the level. Also, whats up with not having specific hurt events at the begining of the second level? That makes no sense. Where was I… right, the multiple path gimick in the first level. Theres one path thats straight foward, and simple, and second path that makes it longer to get to the first path. I’t doesn’t feel like you’re going in an unlinear path, it feels like you stupidly took the long way instead of the detour. In fact except for 1 point where you branch the normal path, the levels are still extremely linear.
Well maybe the Bolly Boss fight arena can save the pack? Not really, since it feels like a compact version of the arena used in the official SP campaign.
Final Score- 1.2
DR? No.

I am reviewing the second of Redjazzs’ levelpacks.
ELECTROMANIA
I didn’t find any bugs in this level but there is not enough eyecandy for layers other than 4. The items are overused and you don’t have the option of not collecting food which triggers sugarrushes. Just 2 types of enemy used (Norm turtles and sparks). The level lacks obstacles.
SCORE: 4.9
POWER
This one is dark but like the first level, has no eyecandy and the items are used way too much. There are some bugs in the level: When you come out of the bonus warp, you get stuck under a spring (again near the end of the level). And when you have to clib across the vine near the pit. If you fall in, you expect not to get hurt, but you do.
RATING: 2.3
BOLLY:
This one has a few obstacles near the beggining which can easily be evaded. Has a boss at the end. You could have made a longer intro to the level and added more enemies and a wider range of items.
RATING: 3.0
AVERAGE RATING: 3.2
RATING RANK: 3 Very bad.
DOWNLOAD?: Still, no.
FINAL COMMENT:
Keep going, you’re getting better.
