Jazz Jackrabbit 2 Online

This lvl is not much really. A couple of “buildings” above ground, a weird maze under and the only good thing in this lvl is the moon cause it’s very original and cause I like jumping around in low gravity.:-) Also, to make things worse, this lvl has a Jazz unfriendly place where Jazz falls down into a pit and can’t come up cause he can’t doublejump. Not good, not good, you should place a spring there.

What you could do to improve this lvl Cracco is making a whole moon lvl out of this. This way ppl can battle in an moon like low gravity lvl and I would certainly like that cause right now, don’t download this ppl, it isn’t worth it.[This review has been edited by White Rabbit]

Very platform, the music is quite original though. The level uses an non-masked (I think so) tileset. In the level itself you find some houses with shields and powerups.

Nothing much of a moon. Could be named “Hotel” too.

First, I must say that, (I hope this will not offend the above reviewers, or anyone else for that matter) the above reviews are short and give little explanation to the level.

Second, the review itself:

The level, cracco moon. The basic idea is to face each other on a straight ground. The weapons are all cramped up on several ‘bases’ and going there makes you locked in, so the idea behind that is pretty good. Sadly enough there are some warps in the bases that allow you to escape.
The low gravity idea is very nicely used with a moon-surface somewhere in the level (i’m guessing the bottom, judging by the way it is achieved). The moon is fairly reachable and constructed the same way as the rest of the level, which makes the general idea quite… boring.

Judgement: I’d say there is far too much emptyness in this level and there is not nearly enough variation and ammo lacks on all locations. Gameplay is more hotel-like on some points… (just walking around trying everything out instead of battle)

There is defenitly room for improvement. A lot :)

A 5 for your idea and troubles.

this 5.2 is not for the eye candy, because the eye candy is nothing special. however, the moon is very neat…very, very neat. although it is sort of a clone of my ‘Titanic’ Level, which uses the same effect. ;p
this level is good, just not the best out there. it is still worth playing, tho, so try it!

Well, “Cracco Moon” seems to be some kind of experimental level: it uses a custom tileset called “CS” (80 tiles, quite original, by an unknown author, please give some info next time!) and it mainly consists of a hotel-like landscape, a boring labyrinth in the ground and the moon, where you don’t have a lot of annoying gravity :-)

The design is confusing enough (this is battle? I didn’t find any weapons!), and i don’t like the tile placement at all. Layer work is non-existant.

On the other hand, the moon idea is somehow original and the custom music by Alberto AS(!) is very cool.
As you may have noticed, my main problem with this is: where is the concept behind it? I didn’t exactly find it…

To sum it up: “Cracco Moon” has some nice and interesting ideas, but for some reason, they weren’t perfectly transformed into a level. Nevertheless, if you like experimental, “different” stuff you might want to download it (i wasn’t sure about my rating, it’s between 4 and 6 points i guess).

This has gone down because a 2 was to good im afraid that this lvl is not a good one and if i were you id make it more exciting its kind of boring and the music is kinda boring to sum up this lvl is boring

I have seen better levels than this, but because it´s a original idea I will give it higher than a 6. The moon simply rocks, the music is nice and the tileset is small, but not bad.

I am the maker of the tileset CS, Aiko.
I rarely don’t use one of my own tilesets for my levels (all the levels I submitted on this board, CX, CF and CY are made by me as well).

The Moon rules! (Finally someone with a good idea).
I think you should really delete everything and only make a moon.
Also the moon must have platforms with ammo on it.
I think the level will rule then!
But ehhh, a 5.5 is good enough because I don’t like to give lower then that.
The level still is good except the anti-Jazz pitt.

This level is very good. It has an original concept which i see very little of lately, and the battling and secrets are some of the best! Whoever told you guys to say this level isn’t all that good, musta been smokin’ something! Overall, Awesome battle level!
