I agree with him. Usually the people only look the graphics, “yeah awesome!” then give a ten. Everybody should look the tileset longer than ten seconds. There are no perfect tilesets. Almost perfect sets exist, however. Like this :)

Aiko will break his own rules with this one. He will realize this is the MOST AWESOME SET IN THE WHOOOLE WORLD EVER and give it a 10! I know he will, he HAS to give it a 10, I can’t imagine it ever getting anything lower, it’s just amazing.

On a side note: This makes all the effort I put into my latest tileset look like newbie junk. Seriously, I was busy drawing about the same thing and this is just AMAZING compared to it!

Hmmm, it seems that the graphics are out of this world, but they hide many bugs. I ignored the few I saw in the example level and still gave it a 10, because a tileset that looks like this deserves it. However, the more I work with it the more I realise bugs are a serious problem, and some necessary tiles are missing. Next time, PLEASE make sure u fixed that before u upload another tileset.[This review has been edited by Disguise]

Why do I give a 8.2 and not a 9.5 or a 10 to this tileset.. well, it seems that nobody tested the tileset for serieus,In my project I found a few serieus bugs in the tilesets. Example with the green and brown leafs you find out it has nasty corners. But there is more when you wanna change some ground tiles it looks a bit ugly, from “normal” empty to one with the depri on it. It also lacks of different tiles it misses of stuff to add extra so you need to work with different layers to give it a nice look. Just try to make a Big Level with it without alot the same boring stuff.

Original? Some Parts but some not really. It’s cloneded from the original Jungle even a “seen that, done that and been there” feeling. but it still has a new animations witch I-like-a-lot

Well, the rest is already mension it.. the set it self is a beauty never saw anything like that. Yup, the grapix and Eyecandy kicks off the Domination by DethMan but compatabilty is still bad or very low.. my advise is simpel, beta test more before the release

once agian GIVE the sets or levels a better look users, this is no reviewing this is just checken and givin it a score. GRAPIX ISN’T ALL! it’s how you can work with the tileset and not only to have a great look :) Trust me a lot of nice looking tilesets are rejected by me with Future Evolution because of bad stuff in it.

I’m usually very picky with Tilesets but this one as well with all of Agama’s tilsets are… (I’m at a loss for words) i think this is what all tilesets should look like. It’s sorta like the Swamp in Rayman and the example level is pretty good. I almost fell unworthy to review a tileset by such a talented tileset maker.[This review has been edited by Fire Sword!]

Yes…this is how all tilesets should be.. A real agama tileset.
-good example level; good eyecandy, good layers working.
-very good tileset: many diffrent things to use and all the basic stuff is included.
Well…nothin’ more to say: it’s just a REAL tileset.

I selected the 9 before i even looked at the level, becuase i allready knew it would be good. I’m guessing ill change it to a 10 after i look at the level, but ill leave it at that for now.

Geeze, Gargoyle, you are NOT supposed to rate the level! Unless this is uploaded as Multiple, it is an Example Level, and is NOT to be rated! sigh

Anyway, this tileset looks good. There are certainly some places where things look wrong though. Also, it gets so confusing as you go down it’s not going to be easy to make a good level with it. Let alone a level. Maybe some level gods can, but not me.
There are also a few animations that I don’t like too much, and while the brown Jazz looks good on Jazz, it sort of doesn’t on other things using the same colors. Birdy, for instance.
All right, you can arrest me now. I complained about one of Agama’s tilesets.

Another great tileset by Agama. It is very cool and has slightly modified colors to match the characters with the environment.The music is good to.

Yet again, another master peice by none other than Agama. I automaticly fell in love with the tileset. I think it is one of your best! There didn’t seem to be anything out of place either. Drools

The tileset is beautifully drawn, has fantastic backgrounds, and the example level is great(I’m not rating by the level, mind you). It really shows off how awesome the tileset is. Mainly all the leaves and bushes contribute to the amazon feeling..

There is one bad thing about this tileset, really. The big trees you can stand on, don’t always fit. This is logical, but Agama should have provided two versions of the top of the tree(the yellow wood thing), so that it always fits. Maybe this is an idea for a next version.

A very, very good tileset. It really has a “nature” feel. Nicely drawn tiles, everything looks beautiful. Changing the sprite color was a good idea, now everything looks brown and green, THE nature colors :D Dunno what to add more; everyone should download it now!

Oh, blimey! Here we go again…another fantastic tileset by Agama…you know, I must stop throwing 9.0+ ratings around…oh well, nm. Let’s get on with the review.

Agama’s new tileset has got an incredible long name: Swamps of The Sleeping Jaguar and the contents is even more incredible. There are three different versions of the tileset. Day, evening and of course night. Each of them has the same amount of tiles and holds the most fabulous textured tiles I’ve ever seen. The animations has got very high quality and the background/foreground tiles are absolutely marvellous.

Now then, let’s split the review up a little:

Eyecandy.
Basic tiles.
Walking blox.
Platforms.
Backgrond/foreground tiles.
Other tiles.
There ya go! :-)

EYECANDY
Well, what should I say? The eyecandy is as good as it can be. Green, muddy grass, big trees and tree stumps, two kinds of rain, pools of water, sleeping jaguars and spider webs. There’s simply nothing more to say. Oh, and not to mention those quite little jaguars with their heads sticking out of bushes, they’re very nice. :-)

BASIC TILES
They’re all there. Buttstomp, destruct, ? and all kinds of blox. They’re all there. Also, there’s of course rain, (which I mentioned in the section EYECANDY) poles, vines, text tiles and hurt tiles in form of a jaguar’s claws. Very nice and original. :-) Nothing more to say, really. Walking blox? Well, there are loads of stuff you can walk on here…grass, treestumps, rocks, wooden bridges, loads…loads…they’re so beautiful I’ve decided to be lazy and not write anything more. ;-P

Wow! Highly detailed trees, roots and pools of water makes these background/foreground tiles one of the best!! Nothing more to say…

A really nice tileset by Agama.
Beautiful graphics, and nice animations.
But not perfect though.
It takes a while to find the right part of the tree that fits.
The destruct blocks don’t look too good.
The hole in the tree took me 15 mins to figure out, could’ve been better.
I don’t really like the sprites, normal would’ve been better.
I agree with Shad on the rating.

Wow, This tileset is beautiful. It almost makes me want to be there. I think the way you changed the palette is good as well, exept I don’t really like Jazz and Spaz in brown, but I guess they have mud on them :). I also love the bushes with the paws leaping out, and the eyes that apear and look around, and the little head that pokes out of the bushes. It may be decoration, but it just adds to the originality of the tileset. The tiles are beautifully drawn, the pallet is made like epics, but there is only one thing stopping me giving this tileset a 10. Play it in low detail. I think a true tileset, you shouldn’t have to use layer 5 if it can be avoided.

You have no shadow tiles linking to the light tiles so you can’t have tile connections without the use of layer 5. Sorry, but thats the only weakness I can see. The reast of the tileset is FANTASTIC

Verily, this is a super-niftular tileset.

Alright, now down to business…

Okay, it has problems. Allow me to introduce you to the standard tilesets…

This is probably the first tileset I’ve ever seen that is on par with the tilesets of JJ2. I can think of several that certainly come very close, but this one takes the cake. It is beautiful.

Okay, there are some visual problems, but again comparing it with the regular JJ2 tilesets, this is nothing we can’t overlook. You want perfection? You won’t find it in any tileset. But some come close, like this one.

As for problems and difficulty making levels with it…

Well, okay. Point taken. I rate a 9.5, not a 10.

Anyone try to make a level with Beach? How about the Lab set? Some of the JJ2 sets are very difficult to use, even frustrating. But somehow, those sets still maintain a following, and we press on.

This set isn’t perfect, but it is worth the trouble.

I thought it would be something similar to Donkey Kong Country’s swamp area.

It’s swamp with autumn trees from my perspective.

Yet, a good tileset that’s well done.

What do I have to say everything looks great as usual

only some tiles dont perfectly match with the rest

and another thing
is this supposed to be a swamp Ive never seen any jaguars there before:P it looks more like a jungle than a swamp

and whats with the colourchanging when you play (it has it to with your earlier tilesets but this time everything looks different)

Very nice tileset! My only complaint is the lack of surfaces that can actually be “flexively” built with (in this case, the grass). If this tileset had more surfaces… a 10/10 =)

Shadow had something there,
i dint noted the bugs, but i like this titeset, becuse:
-The other jungle tileset dosenīt own so good graphic as this
-Jazz and Spaz change color when your using this tileset
-it have much good details
I fell a need on:
-you forget some leafs, i canīt remember witch
-Not all leaf fits
-A sleeping Jaguar that turned right

Guess nobody will ever see this review, because everybody has this tileset for ages (including me). But though:
Great, but hard to use. Because the tileset is overall so great only -0.3 for the hard-to-useness.

This is not as good as Heaven but still a great tileset.

Piccolo, you kidding? This is 2x better than Heaven. (of course, I always did like the rainforest.) It is also easy as heck to use for me.

Not quite as good as your other sets, but still great all the same.

“Swamps of the Sweeping Jaguar” is a member of a very short list of tilesets that are near-perfect. Epic’s tilesets are arguably higher quality than any of today’s tileset makers, but if one person could give Epic a run for it’s money, it would probably be Agama. “Swamps of the Sleeping Jaguar” has great drawing quality. When looking at the tileset, they looked like paintings. The animals were believable, the ground looked fantastic, and there was absolutely nothing that was not really high-quality. This is definitely worth a download, and is a must-have tileset. An amazing work of art that no one should be without. And, of course, that is a download recommendation. This is most likely my favorite tileset, i cant say for sure, but probably is. It has even more eyecandy than sirius, and even more colors. Just when i though the colors of sirius were unbeatable, i was wrong. The jaguar animations rock, and like moonblaze said, you can make lots of eyecandy with leaves in this. Although while doing that, i found out that some leaves have small bugs with them, and the backround trees are hard to manage. The trees rock, you can make wonderful things with them. If you’re having trouble using this tileset, download “The episode” by blade and willie which shows one of the best ways to use this set. Although it gets a 9.8 (rounded to 9.7) it still is probably the best tileset on j20. Not only that, but agama made 3 versions of this in evening, night and day!!!What more can you expect, my 9.8 has turned into a 9.999 rounded to a 10. This is my most favorite set.
Enough with being plenty usefriendly and only mising a few tiles, the quality is much better than Epic’s own, unique, and simply unbeliveable. Even here, Agama amazed us with whole 3 versions of the tileset. A must download, and my 10 goes to this.[This review has been edited by Moonblaze]

i dont really like swamps but this one really attracted me for some reason! this tileset is not as good as your others in my opinion but it is still fantastic. I recommend to everyone to download this!

(v and h poles and vines but no hooks)
and the color on jazz’s fur looks cool

OK, here’s my few words about this package, since Agama is real guru in making tilesets and I hope that users high ratings are big encouragement for Agama to create more masterpieces. Of course it gets 10 and recomandation and now some words about this tileset. It was made on a base of original beach tileset – good to know, because I see no similarities (maybe a bit in a colour palette) this rather looks like made from scratch because every element, every tile is changed. Imagine a scenery for JJ2 on which you see a swamp with tall trees with rather dark brown and green colors and beautiful background. Now open your eyes and look at sample level of swamp tileset… and teach your imagination to create such amazing images.
P.S. still few Agama’s tileset’s to see, I’m sure I won’t be dissapointed.

This tileset ROCKS!! It looks really professional, and it has really cool animations! It’s really original, it could be one of the real official JJ2 tilesets!

I love the environment, I like jungle levels the most in JJ2. It has it all!

Art Style:

One of the best forests I’ve ever seen, takes Tarzan’s Treetops by the scruff of the neck and drives it into the dirt. Makes mincemeat of lesser tilesets. Solid 8.5.

Diversity of Tiles:

Obviously many of the tiles do the foliage for the canopy and leaves, but there’s plenty of room for complex branches and other great things. The wood structure things are also a very good little quirk. I made a level using this and showed it to my 3-year-old brother, and he loved the animals that can be animated. Nets a 9.6.

Layer Management:

Okay, this may not be another Desolation, but it can do very well here too. Most of the layer work will be focused onto the canopy and leaves with many levels, but that’s no restriction. I give this a 7.8

Environment:

I don’t really care about any of the disadvantages of a forest location here, as this tileset has none of them. Agama truly shines here, making her skills felt even to the younger generation. Tileset walks away with a 8.3 under the belt here.
