Y'all should totally vote for JJ2+ as Mod Of The Year, just saying. :) We won't win, but it will be fun to experience the power of teamwork!

Jazz 3D Enhanced Patch ceases development - November 2nd 2013
Source: JCF Thread
We post enough about JJ2+ on this site that it’s a shame that JazzGruff’s JJ3 patch, aka “The Unofficial Jazz 3 Patch” or “The Jazz 3D Enhanced Patch,” doesn’t get more coverage. Doubly a shame now that the project has just shut down.
The patch promises all the traditional features you’d expect from such a work, ranging from lots of (sometimes subtle) bug fixes up to improved physics, camera, graphics, difficulty, and so on. Visit the JCF thread for the most recent download, as well as more screenshots and a couple of gameplay videos. JazzGruff says that other people are free to take this and continue to improve on it in the future, to make JJ3 better still, so long as they credit him for his existing work.
EDIT: If you’ve been having troubles downloading it, JazzGruff just posted an updated package that should set you right.

At last, after a week and a half, most of the annoying bugs have been removed (hopefully)!
Major bugfixes include:
- Crashing with an Access Violation when loading a level in Single Player mode, if Player 1 is unconfigured.
- Unspectating players getting kicked or banned for invalid shield use.
- Players getting “nudged” following a health change.
Some new features are:
- A greatly improved spam kicker
- A self kill command
- Separate controls for mouse and keyboard
- Switching weapons with the mouse wheel

New JJ2+ release - October 19th 2013
Source: JCF Thread
Once again we’ve seen many teasers, here and on the ModDB page, and we’ve missed more than a few planned release dates along the way, but the new JJ2+ is on shelves now! And by shelves I mean J2O.
Some assorted changes:
- 1.23+ can run TSF levels and tilesets
- New textured background modes, new tile types, vertically flipped tiles
- Objects are better synchronized among clients
- New splash screens
- AngelScript got a lot more powerful
Be sure to check out the readme, as usual!

Jazz Jackrabbit levels are best taken in small doses.
On to more pressing matters. Arjan and Cliff obviously envisioned Jazz as a fan of Jazz music. I mean, it’s right there in his name! But what if Jazz hadn’t been an option? What if Arjan really hated saxophones? What then??? How would they have named the hero of the game we all love? Let’s find out.
Continuing the nostalgia trip, Torkell found a copy of the Good Ole War Tavern (Jazz2City's Jazz Jackrabbit fan fiction section) from 2000, which was still missing from our archived version of J2C. I've put it online here (warning: 1990s webdesign)!
