Killing Sam...

Ok, so I know these people, and I am their un-official computer technical help guy. Well, they finally messed up somthing I can't fix. They ran this program called "Narrator" that is supposed to read everything on the screen outloud with Sam, and that it does. The only bad part is, if they play any CD's or DVD's on the computer, Sam kicks in and sings along. Quite annoying. Now, I could find the DLL that Sam is stored in and delete it, but they want Narrator to still work. Any suggestions?

All I (and they) know about their computer is that it runs XP.

Uh, I tried that, but there isn't a setting for that. Every setting that they have is turned off.
