Decksta: The best conversion of this is in NeW's Mayhem, but it's not all that good.

There's a Fanolint conversion somewhere, but it's not all that good either, and I'm not sure it's even on J2O.

There was a Fanolint conversion, by IceWolf, I think. But it was bad. :(:(:(

I have the Fanolint one, but it's not that good. There aren't even any animated tiles for the fans.

It's a shame that the Fanolint lens effects would be impossible to convert.

That's what I tell people whenever they want me to convert it.

Same goes for transparent crystals in Crysilis. And look, we have a quite good conversion.

what lens effects are you talking about? and why are they so importent? I mean someone could just convert it without the lens effect.

not that I'm asking you guys to it. But I did sort of want to have it to use someday.

There are lenses in the scenery of Fanolint that magnify and/or warp the background pattern that scrolls behind them. They're a main component of the Fanolint "look", so they're defnately important. Without the lenses, you've just got yellow blocks and fans, with a few odd-looking plants here and there.

The Crysilli conversion looks good at first glance, but it's got a whole lot of flaws. :(

well I think that fanoloint should get a good conversion anyways. Even if can't be perfect.

So make one. Plz. If it's possible, though.

Why not try your hand at converting it yourself? It's easier than drawing a set from scratch, but it's still a lot of work to just beg someone for.

I might try it this summer.

Then I wish you luck :)

Making a tileset isn't easy, but it can be very rewarding. Let us know if you run into palette trouble or something. Since Fanolint shouldn't be using any textured backgrounds or water, that makes it a lot easier.

I repeat that for over 3 months.
