I'm bored, so sue me. Also, another thing that led me into posting this is that I bought Descent 3 (YAYAYAYA!!!). I found it at the back of some boxes in a small shop in South Africa (it's been off the market for ages, couldn't find it anywhere). I won't be playing it until I get my PC (approx. july), but then I'll let the likes of Captain Spam beat every lively bone out of my body in the game (happy, aren't ya? http://jazz2.nagcentral.com/forum/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif ). Now, I'm about to smack down my whole key format, and you can smack yours down here too, just to compare the methods people play and fly. I'm sure there are about 1000 different ways people configure it. Anyways, here goes:
Accelerate: ctrl
Reverse: keypad 0
Strafe up: up arrow
Strafe down: down arrow
Strafe left: left arrow
Strafe right: right arrow
Tilt up: f
Tilt down: r
Turn left: d
Turn right: g
Roll left: e
Roll right: t
Fire primary: space
Fire secondary: z
Fire flare: h
Use countermeasure: b
Flashlight: enter
Rear view: keypad 1
Use door etc: left shift
There, I think that's it. If it's not there it's because it's default or I never used the keys because I've only played Descent 1 (some I know from reading the manual).

I love it the way it's originally configured.
Tubbs is completely obsessed with Descent 3. I mean, totally lost in the Descent 3 world. I wonder when he'll come out of it. Lol http://jazz2.nagcentral.com/forum/images/smiles/icon_lol.gif
(Now does that answer your questions as to WHERE he got his zany name from?)

I think this thread deserves at lest one reply he was looking for. Here's my master Descent interface that I could use to move around the 3D environment without having to think about what my controls were.
Left Hand
A - forward
Z - reverse
S - slide up
X - slide down
D - cruse faster (don't use)
C - cruse slower (don't use)
Q - roll CCW
W - roll CW
[SPACE] - primary fire
[LEFT-ALT] - secondary fire
[LEFT-CTRL] - afterburner
[LEFT-SHIFT] - bomb drop
[CAPS LOCK] - flare
[TAB] - map
Right Hand (usually on mouse rather than keyboard)
Mouse:
*Invert Y-axis
[LEFT BUTTON] - slide left
[RIGHT BUTTON] - slide right
Keyboard:
[UP] - pitch down
[DOWN] - pitch up
[LEFT] - turn left
[RIGHT] - turn right
[RIGHT-CTRL] - slide left
[PAD-0] - slide right
[END] - rear view
[DEL] - something
[PGDOWN] - something else

Looks like the thread's active now...
I have Descent 1-3, and the addons and editors for 2 and 3 http://jazz2.nagcentral.com/forum/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif I haven't installed anything pertaining to D3 yet though :/
