Cracco Clan Update -> Two expansions

Since there's not much to get for CC at JJ2 anymore, we need to expand to newer games if we want to keep the clan alive and active. The UT Division with Nimrod as GameLeader didn't really get anywhere, so Mechanic (Scorpio's brother) has offered to revive the UT Division. So it happened, he started organising trainings for our new UT team (which consists half of CCers from the JJ2 division and of new CCers) and when we're ready we're going to play some practice clanwars against our ally FE (Final Existance) on UT. And about WC3; Stiletto and BunnyElmer really wanted that CC expanded there so I agreed. Since I'm interested in WC3 as well (I kinda hate FPS games, so UT is nothing for me), I'm trying to get enough money to buy it, or get someone to give me his/her CD key so I can join that division :P.

- Nightmare is working on a new idea for the site.
- BunnyElmer is trying to find a better and more suitable host for our clansite.
- The CC-XSD multi-clanning treaty is probably going to stop, instead, the better XSD members are probably going to move to CC with Yasco.
- Mechanic is setting up a CC server on UT.

Indeed, the project that XS� players would take over the Jj2 division of CC was cancelled. There were a few members (like me) who didn't like the option that XS� would become CC. If CC really wants a JJ2 division, then just let it be taken over by XS�.

I'm not ruining it for anyone, I just can't stand it when people like Newspaz lie about me all the time!!! I've challenged GpW A LOT of times in JJ2 and I got sooo much proof, so?
And next time if it happens I won't hold in either, no matter if I get another warning or ban. I'm usually very quiet and polite BUT do not lie about me (or any of my close friends, for that matter) behind my back to ruin my/our reputation, because then I really get (mad). =D

Well, you challenged us and we challenged you. It's absolutely not true that we never had wars going on. I think it happened once that CC didn't show up, and once the other way around. Two other wars weren't played because fights started before we even could start playing. And one war was won 10 - 0 (or 10 - 1) by GpW. It has to be said though that CC's warteam was a big mess at that time.

When you finally got your stuff together earlier last year most arguments were settled already and GpW was pretty much inactive.

Something has been bothering me lately. Games are games, for God's sake. They are nothing more than games, and nothing less. Maybe six people in the entire world could make a comfortable living playing on them. Why bother trying to master them and get money? If you want to do something that you would make money off of, start learning a job skill. Video games will not get you through your life.

Any idea of arguing that another game is pointless because you cannot climb a proverbial ladder is sort of silly. Games are made for fun. There does not need to be any sort of official score site to make them fun. I suppose having tournaments and stuff is cool, but only when it's at least 80 per cent for fun.

It is equally dumb to argue over people who do not understand that games are supposed to be enjoyable competition, not excessive competition. LAN parties were created for friendly competitiveness, not for cut-throat bashing of clans (and I won't even get into how clans have been warped.) Older, hardcore gamers would be ashamed to see you all defending honor instead of having fun.

Sure, what's the use of a $300 graphics card if you can't show it off? But there's no need to get offended. Trust me - the more someone tries to defend their honor, the less honorable they appear. The biggest insult to one's opponent is to judge them inferior of a reply. And you all have fallen into that trap.

In conclusion: SHUP THX.

Some games evolved to e-Sports. Once you win in those games (money!). Trust me it's addictive. Our team won in 2 years of RTCW in total of 175,610 USD so yeah you stick around because of that.

Games are slowly evolving to a real sport in some counteries. Korea has it how-ever already accepted as a main public sport. Soccer/FootBall is for them still no 1. But Gaming is on 2nd place.

$175,610 is a good deal of money, but when you consider how it must be divided, it is not so large. A yearly income of $87,805 is indeed good, but even on a five member team (which is conservative if I am correct and most gaming teams are more than five members) that is only $17,561 a year per person. On a ten member team, this is $8,780.50 - good spending cash, but hardly enough to live on.

I do not need to play games competitively to know what the culture is like. However, what is the point of playing games if you cannot enjoy them? Competition is indeed one way to enjoy them, but topics like this are just circuses of absurdity. I suppose I think it's silly to argue over clan appointments and the honor therein. If a clan does not want to battle, pressuring them won't help.

But then again, I'm an idiot. Who listens to idiots?

There are atm 26 people who has enough money to quit their job. Because they earned so much at the gaming scene *from sponsorships/winnings (18 koreans, 1 usa dude called fatal1ty, 7 swedish persons called from team SK - esti ofcourse)

I'd like to apologize for my post(s) above. I did not really read them before posting them, and did it in a mildly angry way.

The point I was trying to make is not that anyone is arrogant here. It is that arguments over gaming sort of defeat their true purpose, which is generally to have fun.

And what I said was not so much arrogant as it was hypocritical. I didn't really read the posts through. I hope you will all accept my apology for total stupidity, although I still stand by my comment that games should at least mostly be for enjoying.
