Hey there,

I just replaced the fan in my computer, cause the previous one was broken. But now, when I switch on my computer, nothing happens...It pretends to do something, but my monitor remains inactive, and nothing is being loaded. I can't even get into my BIOS. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Take of the cover on your computer, get the manual for the mainboard, then check, whether all connections and cables are hooked up properly.
Good luck!

Which fan was it? It's possible that you melted your processor.

If the processor would be melted, there would be a smell...

It is possible that you melted your processor. It could be a fault detector. If you have a new computer, check all the connections. If the connections are all in place correctly or if you are using a somewhat older computer, take off the fan and take a good whiff. If you smell melted metal, plastic, and glass, all in one, your CPU is melted. Good news is, besides saving a load of money by switching to Geico, you get a new motherboard! YaY.
