.it File makes JJ2 Crash

Does anyone have trouble with that .it file? It seems to give an error about being out of memory when I launch the level I am working on (If it uses that song). If it doesn't work, can somebody hand over the .j2b converter utility if anyone has it?

Thing is, I can't simply convert it to another music format using ModPlug Tracker. It messes up the song. So right now, I can't do much about that song crashing the game. It is a really awesome song; thing is, I can't use it.

Some musics just refuse to be played by jj2 for whatever reason (says something like Input past end of file) or something. Anyway, Im not sure if there is anything you could do to fix this (at least nothing Im aware of/ever tried). If you do find anything, I'd be more than happy if you'd message me about it since I've given up several levels because the musics-my inspiration =P-wouldnt work.

I think my only choice is to retrieve the MOD2j2b converter utility. Of course, because The Daily Carrot is down, it can't be downloaded from any site. If anyone still has the program, please send it, or I could just send the .it file and you could convert it?

I've looked for other songs, but no other song beats this one. It got a 10.0 at The Mod Archive, and other songs don't have the same feel to it.

Um?? Are you suggesting that I go to command.com? All it really has is an animated.gif.

You know, I shouldn't have to go through all this just to get the song working. Can someone please convert it then upload it to their own server? If you could, that would be great!

start->run->command.com

use commands cd .. to go down to the c drive
go to your jazz 2 folder by typing cd <folder goes here>
type mod2j2b ac-pb.it

I typed in what you said, but all it says is, "Converting 'ac-pb.it'", and nothing else. When I checked the folder, I couldn't find ac-pb.j2b anywhere. What's going on?

From what I can tell, ac-pb.it seems to be too big to be used with JJ2, even as a j2b file. I'm not particular fond of that mod file in any case. Some mod files just can't be used in JJ2 levels because of their size, although sometimes the problem may lie in part with the contents of the level. Most music files over 2MB don't work. It's a whole complicated mess that I don't want to get into right now.

OMG is DC offline?! Last time I checked was ½ year ago, and it was okay, just not updated. Just checked. Hmm you're right. jazz2.godgames.com still works though.
