music will not play

When I download levels to play, the music will not play. I downloaded this player, sonique, and it automatically 'takes' the music files in the zip files I download. Is there a player that JJ2 recognizes? Or if I am wrong do you know what the problem is? pleeeease help me, its really no fun having the sound messed up... :roll:

oh, and the normal music in the game itself works.

Files with the .j2b extension can not be played outisde Jazz Jackrabbit 2, because it is a jazz2-only file format. Other music, like .mod, .it, .xm and .s3m files can be played with jazz2 and players like winamp (and maybe sonique, but i never tried that).

And MODPlug works for playing them. .j2b can't be played outside of JJ2.

Thaaankyou I just downloaded madtracker and it plays .s3m etc... So the music finally works. :D
