Jazz Jackrabbit 2 Hackers.

I hosted my own server, and after some minutes someone renamed me to "I rename you!" and he changed my fur and my charater from Jazz to Spaz. He even changed my team. What the heck?! How can I block it? >(

Kick or ban him by typing kick1 or ban1 duh :lol:

There have been topics about this very issue before. I recommend that you seek them out and read them. You should disregard the changes; rename them with Controller if you want. Attention prompts them. Get ApprehendJJ2 and log the IP address to figure out who is doing this if you wish to.

A couple months ago, I was in Skull's server, and things like that happened to us too. We were renamed and all sorts of weird stuff happened. It's kinda scary, considering JJ2 is supposed to be a harmless, "safe", platform game. Nothing like this would've happened for any other games, but JJ2 is not supported by Epic anymore so we are on our own against those hackers. :(

Weird. For some reason I remember that happening to me once a while ago, but it was just the names that changed.

I've experienced a lot of these. Renamers, fur changers, clones, ghost bots, DoS attacks, lag crashers, bots that come in flocks of 20s, etc etc. Usually no permanent damage is caused to me by these so I dont really care. Some people are just idiots.

I've seen it, and its a serious issue thats affecting the community.

If you can please run ApprehendJJ2 and screenshot your jj2 window, and the apprehend window when it happens, and I'll see what I can do for you.

I hate the fact that these people still exist. If it were up to me, everyone who hacks JJ2 for non-beneficial reasons would be put to sleep. Or maybe strung up by the lungs.

Sorry you had to deal with that, R3p. I..wouldn't worry about that particular 'hacker' ever again.
