I drew this picture of an ugly evil looking guy.
http://www.foxmage.com/VectorPersonGuy.gif
However, the lines and coloring were done with nothing but VECTORS =D. And VECTORS are like MAGIC and can do MAGIC things. This is VECTOR person guy scaled down... with perfect quality!

This is VECTOR person guy scaled up, with perfect quality! Because I can!

This is VECTOR person guy after I pushed a bunch of buttons in the vector controls! It's like MAGIC!

Uhm... yeah. Vectors > Bitmaps.

I can't draw trees. Notice that every tree I draw either looks like a rocket ship on a stick or disembodied intestines.

I can't because I don't own the copyrights to him. Make Faw do it.

Only because Helivesses are supposed to be Elvis zombies?

Fawriel
Jul 3, 2004, 10:34 AM
Mostly because Faw made monster sprites for Tales of Uberbob as a favor for Radium.

Vectors forever!!!
You are not allowed to say that because you still have not learned the Way of the VECTOR. And the "E", "C", "T", "O", and "R" have to be capitalized because the word is MAGIC.

Sorry... I am a lowly peasent who is not fit to lick the feet of VECTORS... Forgive my imputence.

Which one?

That looks like an Acolyte.

And by that you mean it also looks like any generic hooded evil guy, right? :-)

The trick with vector drawing is that it requires you to think STRICTLY in terms of shapes and lines in order to make it look right, which is something I've never been able to pull off. I'd say you did a cool job with it, Rad.

Yup, same thing.

And if anyone's wondering, MB is referring to one of these little guys (which actually are where I got the idea for the clothing):

Rad makes it look easy, so they must be >D.

Describe to us the process so we may make cheap ripoffs :| .

I like it btw.

First I painstakingly outline every line with VECTORS, then, on another layer or two, I painstakingly outline every colored area with VECTORS, then I painstakingly outline every shaded area with VECTORS. :D
http://www.foxmage.com/VectorGuyPieces.gif

It sounds painstakingly difficult, but it only took about half an hour total.

By the way, if you add a nice background to it you could probably submit it to:

No, I'm pretty sure Mac Hall uses vectors, at least on the outlines. I'm almost completely sure the newer comics are all vectors.

lem, you need to draw stuff in the first place to vector it.
