When I host my internet disconnects

I got ADSL, win98, no firewall or network stuff, when I host a game after about two minutes my internet locks up (it shows the internet is on but ICQ don't work or going into sites, nothing works it's as if I am offline already) and only way to reconnect effectivly is to restart my computer.

What he means I think is tgat his internet connection stops functioning. Its probably modem related.

Seriously, you need a firewall if you're running windows, even on dialup. If nothing else, get ZoneAlarm as it's free. Also make sure you've got a virus scanner - the problem could be due to a virus/trojan/worm.

Some scr1p7 k1dd13 who found your computer (thru a port scan of random computers) and decided to hack you.

Get a firewall, get Spybot and run it often (every couple of weeks at least).

That is not my problem and I still need help, I am really getting mad that nobody helps yet there is a tech forum here.
