How to download from Jazz2online

Step 1: Access the download section from here (http://www.brioservers.com/~jazz2on/).
Step 2: Click the download link to the download you want.
Step 3: Simply cancel the log in.
Step 4: Take the url from the 401 page, which in this case was was:

jazz2online.com/lvl/2576/JazzJackrabbitMIDIProject.zip

Change the 'jazz2online.com/' part to 'brioservers.com/~jazz2on/'. The new url should now look like this:

brioservers.com/~jazz2on/lvl/2576/JazzJackrabbitMIDIProject.zip

Step 5: Now simply access that site by the url.

It can take up to 30 days before everything will be back at normal, at least that's what Frank told me.

It depends on when your ISPs renew DNS entries. It can take from either one day to a month, although the latter is very unlikely. Most take 2-7 days.

It won't take 30 days. That's very extraordinary, only for stupid broken ISPs like my ISP.

It will take until tomorrow maximum, since then, or today already, the host should redirect the old ip to the new place, too.

Phew.

Actually, why we again moved servers? I checked some old newsposts and I see J2O has been changing servers a lot of times ;p

Changing hosts is different than changing servers. We've been changing hosts a lot lately; this is much more minor.

I'm still wondering how some people could logon all these days, and others like me couldn't. Finally got back to the forums after about 3 days, today.

So why jj2o changed servers?
It just causes hard problems to find that page.
I can't fiound thiese pages when you were changing to brioservers.
Why you must even change server.

You could have accessed the site if you had read the message that came up on the closed site, which contained the url you could access J2O with.

Another problem:

Almost every time I click link on J2O and JCF, a window pop-ups and says "Cache server couldn't connect with IP of host called www.jazz2online.com. Server Failure: The name server was unable to process this query."

I'm not sure that is this error of my ISP or Brioservers bug, but please do something.

I've no proxy, although those errors began since yesterday when J2O was temporarily down.

NinJazz

A DNS is a service that forwards a domain (like www.jazz2online.com) to the IP address of the hosting computer, usually something like 134.152.98.62. It should be maintained by the ISP (Internet Service Provider, like AOL).
