I dont normally post in the JCS area, but WTH, here goes..
I (after at least half a year not making good levels) want to make a good battle lvl pack around 50 x 30 or 50 x 40 or 50 x 50 (stretching it). Im wondering if there are any good tilesets meant for battle (cuz you guys probably visit the j2o downloads section more than me) and i was also wondering what are some good tile placements, like should some be floating without anything supporting it? What kind of music should i put with it (considering there are millions of music files..) and what weapon reccomendations you guys have.
If i choose a nature tileset for one of my lvls i WONT use springs, i like using the tileset, not putting artificial things in. I can substitute with float ups or vines.
I havent done jcs for ages, so im a bit rusty.

First off, all I can say right now is that 50x50 is too small.
As for tilesets, Disguise's are, as always, worth a shot, as far as I remember, he doesn't use too complicated things in his tilesets which makes them flexible.
Also, simply checking the J2O for tilesets ( sorted by rating ) never hurt anyone.

For music, look around http://www.modarchive.com.

Use Egypt, Swamps, or a JJ1 conversion, perhaps Violet's newest Pezrock one.

Egypt would be a very hard tileset to use, as I would imagine. Maybe we should have him use an easier tileset?

She wants to make a 'good' level, Egypt is full of eyecandy and when used well you can easily recive high ratings. I think she should practice with the set for a little while and then make a level. All you need is patience.

im a SHE btw. Also i find egypt a little tricky, and er BIG. I use Agama's heaven to a good stretch. (see one of my old insta gib levels).
And @ EM: Mod Archive?! There are billions of songs ;(. Im not sure which time set to use, im aiming for a 7-10 levels of moderately good or better tilesets with good music to match. I'll update when i find a good tileset.
Update: Not yet! Wait a while!

I would offer you some good music files from modarchive.com, but seeing how hard it is to find a good song from that site I'm not too willing. Also, you might just want to focus on making 3-5 really good battle levels instead of 7-10, unless you're one of those people who like to set high goals but tend to fall short. As for tilesets, as FireSworD said, if you make basic eye candy with the Egypt set it can't possibly look bad. It takes a while to get used to, but you might as well give it a try. If you're still frustrated, Jungle wouldn't be a bad choice. Or maybe you could use Disguise's BoredSet or something.

Heh, sorry. :/ The thing about this board is that you can't look at the left side of someone's post and tell what gender the poster is. That, and I'm still fairly new to the community.

I suggest trying Google. I think I came across a pretty cool site looking for something like "high quality modules"...

All tilesets are good if you have the imagination power to come up with something creative :)
For music, I usually just search through the massive amount of mods I have downloaded along with level files from J2O. Just keep trying until you found the right one ^^

It's rather hard to find anything in my bunch of music files.

I would reccomend using Windstorm Fortress from BlurredD. It was especially made for Multiplayer and you can make great eyecandy with it (if you know how).
For music, if you use BlurredD's set, gateways.xm works very well. You can get it from the OLC battle pack (I think).
