Can you tell why it's in Art Forum?
The rules part are blatant ripoff from XSD site.

Can you tell why it's in Art Forum?
Where do you think it was supposed to be? Cause levelmaking group is art...
The rules part are blatant ripoff from XSD site.
Correct. However, XSD is dead. And, the rules are much edited. What's the difference anyway? Rules are not an artwork or anything. They are same pretty much everywhere, except the requirement to join...
If that matter to you so much, then I can edit the rules in such a way that they would have the same summary, but completely unrecognizable as an XSD ripoff... Yeh, I think you are right, I will edit them harshly. Thanks for pointing it out.

ART FORUM is place where people can see your DRAWINGS. NOT LEVELS.
No need to completely redo the rules <s>except for average rating strictness</s>. Keep them like they are now, I can live with those.
Ah, and those rules were XLM's, not XSD's.

What do you mean?

Level making is more for the JCS or General Jazz Forum. The Art Forum is more for everything else besides Jazz related stuff (even though JJ characters get drawn here fairly often).

I say Jazz-related art is definitely allowed in the Art Forum. I wouldn't mind seeing some in here now and then.
But this is definitely either JCS or GenJazz. And you just told me you wanted it in JCS, so away it goes.

Your rules page says "So let your levels get betatested by other members of XDC, or quality reviewers like NeoBlaze or EvilMonkey. " However, EvilMonkey is already an XDC member. Isn't that reduntant?

It is. But the rules are old, they need to be reviewed... And I don't have any idea, who are good betatesters besides XDC. If you can name some, that'd be cool.

I wouldn't call someone who rates a level 3.0 points higher than all other reviewers a "quality reviewer."

Stop spending time on making rules and homepages, start making levels. You're a levelmaking group after all, right? There's no point in having so much annoncement when you've almost nothing to brag of.

I wouldn't call that arguing, so much as putting the work down. You complain if your criticism is not constructive - consider applying this logic to your own actions.

Ok people. Please stop flaming in my thread, and let's get back to the original topic. Thank you, NeoBlaze.
P.S. You might wanna check out some of the XDC levels.

Update: XDC is looking for someone, who would like to be its co-leader.

I still think the rules are copied from the ones I wrote for XLM in February. Next time ask if you want to use them, please.

This amuses me. You are looking for a co-leader.
1. Why not recruit a co-leader from the members you already have?
2. What do you need a co-leader for? Is the leader overworked?
3. If the leader is overworked because the members aren't good enough to become co-leaders, is getting a co-leader the top priority?
4. If 3 is true, shouldn't you be looking for new members?
5. If 3 is not true, I still want to know why you need a co-leader.
6. And what do you want the co-leader to do? Extension of the above.

1. Why not recruit a co-leader from the members you already have?
Because they are all inactive. Except two of them.
2. What do you need a co-leader for? Is the leader overworked?
To help the leader first, the eventually (possibly) replace him....
3. If the leader is overworked because the members aren't good enough to become co-leaders, is getting a co-leader the top priority?
4. If 3 is true, shouldn't you be looking for new members?
No, and yes, I do need new members. Leader does not look for new members for an unknown reason...

Do we really need more lvl creating groups? :S It's nice if we can see more variety in lvls but it seems as if the lone lvl designer is getting squeezed out of the picture here. Few good lvl makers are not part of a lvl creating group. :(
I also think that JJ2 lvls, especially good ones, should be classified as art. Who doesn't like beautiful lvls with great eyecandy and smooth-as-chocolate gameplay? :) A lvl like that would be JJ2 art. If lvls aren't art, then tilesets should definitely be because ppl actually draw stuff in tilesets.
This, btw, gives me an idea. Instead of lvl creating grops, there should be tileset creating groups! ml and j2lc both make/made tilesets but so far there are no exclusive tileset creating groups. That should change. *majestic voice* Who will take up the challenge of founding the first ever JJ2 tileset making group?

Sure, they are a form of art. More specifically, they are a form of art with it's own fourm.

@Neoblaze: No, I can't make tilesets and I can't join XDC either. I just like creating lvls by myself.

CLM has lots of room for tileset makers. We have two big projects going on which could use new and good tilesets. Which isn't to say that a tileset group by itself wouldn't be a good idea, but there's a place for you if all you really want to do is make some tilesets.
