Update with the rules. (17/10/2004, 14:20 GMT)

I decided that winning 40-0 is too much and the scores are not that close as I originally expected. The new way of counting scores in the group stage is map victories - if a team won a map, the final score would be 1-0, without counting the single scores. In case there is a tie in one of the maps, the score would be counted as 1-1.

In case the score is still tied after two maps (one team losses the first map and wins the other one, for example), the teams will play a third map as tie-breaker.

This way may be changed during the playoffs, though.

Eh don't, you still need the scores to determine rankings in case 2 clans have the same ammount of points. Replay is the worst solution you can do. So what ever you do, do NOT throw away scores that easy. Even when you have a diff system.

If it would happen, I will count the scores... I still have them. JUST HIDDEN. 8D

might be nicer to unhide them, better for the public.

You know, if I were malicious, I'd say this new system was introduced to better DT's (reps clan) chances of reaching the semi-finals (especially since after the introduction of this system, hocus pocus alakazam! : DT is second in the group rankings, while they were third with the other system, and it is almost certain that they're through to the semifinals if they beat FoR, which wouldn't be so certain with the old system). But I'd only say that if I were malicious of course.

Also, I'd like to point out that DT's record is 3-2, not 3-1. They had a 2-0 record before the match against TF. If you're going to count draws in a round as 1-1, that would make 3-1, and then we have the round they lost against TF, which makes 3-2. (Best not to make these mistakes when a number-obsessed person like me is watching =D Especially not when a seemingly little thing like this could make the difference in the end)

Seriously, changing rules in mid-tournament doesn't affect this thing's or your credibility in a very positive way.

Enigma: Oops. I will change dt!'s record to 3-2 in a few minutes... hopefully the FTP won't make any problems again. :\

Whatever....I'll just do the usual : Sit back, feet on the desk, relax, fat cuban cigar =/

Btw, I don't think I can play anymore, it keeps saying "error connecting to list servers". How fun.

By counting the scores do you mean directly adding or will you apply each match equally meaning taking the points for your clan/total points or what?

I'd think that since the games were played to different numbers a logical way would be to average the (points for your clan)/(total points) for all match results except when there has been a no show incident.

Also, please post changes you make when updating the site and point out the errors you have fixed just as you said to write a newspost upon fixes to rules.

Exactly why the supervisor of the tournament shouldn't be in the tournament himself.. Preferably clanless or in a not participating clan. Changing the rules in mid-tournament is stupid. Regardless who wins this, it doesn't matter or mean anything (anymore). R3ptile, making DT look better than it is shouldn't be your priority to organise this tournament..... -_-

ofcourse a supervisor can play, but he shouldn't do these sort of dramatic changes middle in a tournament.

ok, ok, this change of rules might be a bit of a schock, and it deffinetly doesnt give one a feeling of a fair torunament but still, to support reptile a bit, he did organize the 1st clan tournament on jj2, and is doing his best to keep it going.
He had 2 deal with no shows, 2/3 of the team showing. We all know how alot of this community is, people say they'll be there, and then the "forget" or dont have the time.
But reptile has overcome these problems, and his competition is the only thing keeping jj2 alive and kicking at this time, when time for playing is scarce and so are the players.
All in all, GJ REPTILE, but u really shouldn't have changed the rules!

Bob: ok?
CraccoBoy: This tournament is actually working.. if you like it or not. =P
GP: Owned.
Urbs: If those changes really hurt you, I can change them back. =]
Anyone else: Hi.

well truth be told i couldnt care less reptile:)
But, if things stay as close as they are in your group, and should your clan proceed, and say TF wouldn't, ur gonna have quite a flame war on yer hands...
