Random enemies from Jazz 1 on one sprite sheet.
Not all of the sprites have all their frames of animation also.

Won't load. I think your Geocities account is broken or something.

Edit: Works now. Some very nice stuff there. The snow monkey is way too cute to be dangerous. :(

Ack! Don't use .bmps! They're huge! Just giving a file a different extension doesn't change their file type. But, good ripping job.

No, geocites simply won't load the image because too many people have looked at it. If you are lucky you may come back and see the image later, but probably not. Now if he had used PHOTOBUCKET this problem wouldn't occur.

Photobucket isn't accepting new accounts at the time, so until it does I'm stuck with a horrible server.

Send the image to a@foxmage.com and I'll have it up on my webspace in no time.

With these enemies its not so much the obtaining of sprites that is the problem so much as the time it takes to put them into a picture like that. Here is the full animation for small turtle guy and beholder plus a pic of devan.

You used a jpeg! Now the image is ruined.

JSZ is kind of right. Putting sprites in a JPG = bad.

I think ToxicBunny once tried to decode the JJ1 animation files, back when we were working on JCS94.

I just tried to mess a little with sprites, and this is the first I could come up with http://stan.lendlmeyer.com/jazz.gif

Woah. How on earth did she get all that?

She's a hacker of some sort.

Probably not a hacker... if she was a hacker she wouldn't used different pallets (look at the gun in "General/jazz.png")...
This package is indeed nice, but not useful if you want to do a perfect clone of jazz1...

cooba
Jan 11, 2005, 07:43 AM
The palette change is so small that it barely even matters. And she is a hacker to assure you.

Having made a JJ1 level without the use of J1CS, I would assume she has some talent in the field.

Thats an incomplete Bilsy Sheet. I say Incomplete because there are some/many frames missing.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v520/lijik/randomjazzsprites.png
Those are just random sprites of Jazz which I got while ripping Bilsy. Color may be a light blue in some areas because of the invincibility cheat that was on.

Gah, Bilsy is so cool. I'd love to have those powers. Mm, and the cape.

...maybe without the whole "lives in hell" thing going on, though.

This is old, missing frames, and the Robot boss is using an incorrect palette, but whatever...

Can anyone get me the sprites for Jazz from Jazz 1's 3d Bonus levels?
The screenshot key doesn't work in bonus levels and I haven't the slightest idea on how to hack the sprites out.

I have some screenshots from the bonus level, it might be some help for you.

Sprites from episodes 1-6; extracted by Doubble Dutch.

INCORRECT. I did not extract them, my brother did, using a program and a hex editor. He did this several years ago, and when I pestered him about it he said [and I quote.] 1.) The programs probbably gone now, good luck. and 2.) I have to study this year, I don't have time for computer games.

However, there is quite a bit of junk lying around th' ol computer including a few HH94 sprites sliced into eight pixel high rows. I'll see if I can piece 'em together.

Edit: Ah, that wasn't so hard! http://www.freewebs.com/gannalev/sprites.zip

Thank you DD for the information, I opened SPRITES.000 in a hexeditor, I thought it was compressed (or something similar) but it wasn't :) . It can't be too difficult to create an extractor.
