I'm still disappointed at TF's loss (but not TF the clan, no no no :p) , although I'm sure everyone agrees that a victory over DM would seem a tad unrealistic.

I'll be looking forward to the final of DM vs FoR. *gets popcorn* and of course I will, just like everyone else, try to bribe Reptile into letting me become a spectator inside the DM vs FoR server. :D

Unless somebody *looks at Overlord* can design a program that allows recorded JJ2 games... OR... a DM or a FoR member can record the games using a camcord and upload it at J2o! Reptile is probably way ahead of me... ;)

Errr... I've managed to record the JJ2 screen by Fraps. Only for 30 seconds though, and the file is very heavy. If someone knows how to convert it from 60mb or so into 20mb or even less, contact me as soon as possible.

I will try to record a demo of DM vs. FoR and GpW vs. TF, but I can't promise anything yet. It would also take a while - recording, editing, etc...

Wow, that's a neat program, R3. Did you try encoding the video files? There are recommendations for programs to use for that in the help file (in C:\Fraps\HELP\help_movies.htm for me). I tried using VirtualDub to compress a video capture from JJ2 and it worked pretty well...I think recording videos is a great idea. =)

No. It wasn't barely it's just I started playing easy on GpW at the start seems I understimated them but than when they started leading i played better and because of that we won.
reason 2 is because FoR players had alot more ping I bet TS had like 600-500 ping
I had 330ping and Cell 300+ping while GpW players had 80-150 ping
so therefore :). besides round 2 was 4-2 for FoR :).

Was a GG, all I'll say we should have won, but it was our fault we didn't.
We don't care all that much, but every loss that's not needed is just a shame.

JJ2WC is pure ownage,GpW played great, and we mean to come stronger yet next year. If it's in summer, Gummi already confirmed 2 play so thats definetly a big bonus for us.
All in all GG for Reptile and Skull for organisation.
BTW dudes, one thing that I would point out, I really heed people with flags not to stand on their bases, cuz there can come 2 nasty flagbugs. Thats whta happened the other day, and it stopped the game, and its rhythm and got us all in a nasty agrument and a big mess. So i think camping on yer base should be, uhm well, reduced if nothing else.

Let's say you play you died on flag that is allowed unless you did that in purpose. what's not allowed is to score like that you CANNOT score with flagbug even if it wasn't in purpose. (sry if i dont know how to spell that word)

It was a close game, and from where I stand it could have gone either way. First game it seemed to me that we'd lose but we managed to turn it into a draw in the end.. Second game went a bit better but it was still hard. GpW's team had great teamwork, probably beter then ours; it was very hard to break through and score points most of the time.

Usually it's best to forget about the flagbug unless a point is scored from it, in which case most people usually decide not to count the point. It happened a few times in the TF-DM match as well, but as far as I could tell, both clans did it by accident (you can hardly expect a person not to go for the flag, even if it's likely that he'll die on it), and we didn't even stop to think about it since no points came from it.

Well, congratulations. Maybe we also would have lost under other circumstances, but it really wasn't our day.

A few last words: when the game is paused, you don't move, don't pick up ammo, and don't pick up cars. And in this tournament it's the tournament admin resuming the game.

Yes, GpW probably wanted gold really bad, but so did TF. One clan had to lose and, which is just our luck, TF went home with nothing. I'm sure everyone on the TF warteam tried their best. :D We'll be back next JJ2WC!!!

ya me neither, cuz i always had 2 be at your base, should my flagholder die(ok unless when he had 3). BTW i really hate the fact that the blue base has no PU near it. It's way easier to lay siege to the red base than to the blue . You can also see that blue teams do way better on zaitox(and semi for that matter, not to mention bblair, but there the attackers can make good use of 2 pu's and can actually have a better position than the blue team).
thats why I think a few more levels like sbv2 should be introduced for this competition. They're the most fair. Unless you play on both sides of each level of course, then it doesnt make such big of a difference...

I was really keen on the toaster-PU. It was easy to take at the first round when we were blue, because it was right on the way to the red team's base where I had to go always when our flagleader had low health.. :)

I'm not saying that DM should win, but a DM victory wouldn't taste like green cheese on Tuesday (I am assuming green cheese does not taste good). IMHO, DM and FoR could be equally matched (yes! :D), provided both clans use their very best players. DM have some slightly better players, but FoR could negate their disadvantage with better teamwork. After all, they're a fellowship while DM is just a bunch of mercenaries willing to turn on their own colleagues for a penny or two. :p

Btw, who the heck said FoR couldn't do it? (Not me, not me :p). Rubbish... they don't have a shadow of a trace of a footprint of a clue about what they're talking about!

Cell has, btw, long surpassed me in terms of jazzing skills. There used to be a golden age where I could fight Cell and the match would be dead-even. Cell has made some pretty cool come-backs in our duels (I was leading 4-1 once and ended up losing 4-5) and he has, I'm happy to say, been kicked by me in a couple of lvls. :D

I'm sure everyone still remembers (and cynics still mock) the TF vs FoR match. :D and Turtleslayer turned up at the last moment in the GpW vs FoR game. But then, Frodo almost gave the Ring to a winged Nazgul, Minas Tirith was almost conquered, Sauron almost got his way and destroyed civilisation and the Fellowship almost disbanded when Frodo and Sam ran off on their own and Merry and Pippin got kidnapped leaving Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli alone and confused (Boromir was dead by now, heh). ;)

@Urbs: You can't stop Cell! He's the foo-master! Nothing can stop foos from the foo-master! I started using 'foo' in mp games because of the foo-master! (He called me 'trigger-happy foo' in Smog CTF). :D

To be honest it just takes us a while to get in the "zone" so we can play jj2 right and play as a team. Once I was so oblivious during the earlier parts of the match I didn't notice that TS got stuck and another time the game was paused I took the carrot which I shouldn't have done. ;P

Well, DM won, I'll gladly congratulate that clan for it's victory. It would have been nice to rematch against DM with Bob, but since we lost for FoR that wasn't possible. ;)
And less congratulate for FoR for having silver, and even lesser for us for bronze. :-)

Oh, and a little edit: Now as I downloaded the replay itself, I felt to ask this kind of question. Wasn't is supposed to be played in Security Breach v2? Instead, you played it in BloodBunny's Lair, why's this?
Otherwise, this was even better than the bronze-final's replay. :-)
