I drew this maybe a week ago. One night I felt I should do something artistic, so Esme gave me the assignment of drawing a cat. I sketched it that night, then colored it the next morning. There you go.

Nice. What kind of paper did you use? What kind of pen/pencil/other did you use?
Color it on the computer?

All done on the computer. Sketched in OpenCanvas, lines redone in GIMP, coloring done in GIMP. Mouse and keyboard.

I wish I had decent control with the mouse. The lines never go where I want them. I'd like to know a way I can get lines that look like that with real materials. If anyone knows a method that looks like that let me know. :)

Gwee!
It's cute. You made pretty good use of simplicity to achieve that.
Except that a stretched arm coming out behind its head might have been a good idea..

One method is to first sketch lightly in pencil, ink over the lines, and then erase the pencil. That can sometimes look messy though. Another, cleaner, method is to get a good dark outline on your sketch, and then trace that outline on to another sheet of paper.
Also, a nice method for drawing smooth lines on the computer is to use a bunch of short line segments. This is easy to do in GIMP because you can just hold down shift with the paint brush and click on points along your outline. (I forgot to do this on this drawing, so as you can see my lines are kind of bumpy and uneven.)

[crituiqe style="Radium"]Where is its front paws? ...
[response style="sarcastic"]
<s>They've been chewed off.</s>
<s>Stuck in the hole underneath it.</s>
Neatly tucked under it's head and body.
