View Full Version : OLM taken over by XLM

Just for public interest, I have to report some small changes in the level making world that happened today (what a nice waste of my first topic on the JCF)
Well, here it is. The level making group called OLM (Original Level Creators/Makers), founded about two weeks ago, has been abandoned by the leadership.
Since many of the level makers were still active, the leader, Ðx, asked me if he could join XLM instead. The reason for the stop of OLM is unknown to me, but I expected it already. For now, a few members of OLM have been transferred to XLM, thus creating the following memberlist:
ChippieBW (Leader)
Yasco (Usual Member)
Ðx (Usual Member for now)
DarkSonic (Usual Member for now)
Satan (Pending, Usual Member for now)
If there are any OLM members that are still unaware of the downfall of their group, I offer them a wildcard for free membership of XLM if they respond within 48 hours from now. They can do this by filling in the form on the XLM Site (http://ncmv.net/xsd/xlm.htm ), adding me on their MSN list (the address is: niels@ncmv.net) or post a reply to this topic.
For now, no radical changes have been applied to the OLM schedule. The level contest by DarkSonic is still being held and the levels under construction will be finished.
Regards,
~ ChippieBW

Yeah. I just joined OLM because Dx really wanted me to, and now he's putting the levelmaking group down. Maybe I should stay independent like I was before.

I was the webmaster of OLM, i spended many work on the perfect site DX wants, and now it's down! Sorry, but, ehh, you know why...

Okay, after talking with Chippie I changed my mind. I'll use the wildcard and join XLM.

Thanks for joining JSZ Jazz. If you fill in the application form on the website I'll add you to the member list.
Since yesterday we picked up the following OLM members into the list:
JSZ Jazz
Olsen
Alex LR did apply, but he's still pending.

Why am I deleted from XLM list? Foos >(

Because you joined just before XLM went into a deep coma. I revived the group last Tuesday, and I deleted everyone from the list. Since then, a bunch of them rejoined.
Cooba, you can join again by filling in the application form on the site.

OLM is so much like OLC only OLC is better (no offence). Who the heck came up with OLM anyway?

You can have it in your forum signature, but not as a clan tag online.

The trial period for new members has passed, membership of XLM can now only be reached by doing a trial. Read site for more info.
Except Slaz and Pyromanus, every OLM member has used it's wildcard for joining XLM. Thank you.

Never online
I am online quite often.
No friendship
Since when?
Bad leader? ^^
No, not a bad leader. Not enough time - thats all.
Need a coleader.
Also, someone has to make levels but of course someone has to join first. Everyone in our group rite now is inactive except Puffy and PSH

I was confusing with OLC and OLM in the beggining, heh. ;P
Anyway, a levelmaking group doesn't really have a leader, it's more like a founder or an owner.

Hmm... How so? Someone has to be there to organize the group or something... And the owner does not necessarily know how to make levels.

I don't completely agree. Although a level group isn't really as tight as a clan, the group needs a leader to organize things and kicking/recruiting new members. As NeoBlaze said.
