what kind of files do you want to convert?
you can edit those files with ModPlug Tracker.
http://www.modplug.com/modplug/tracker.php3?session=
Also, you can convert Super Nintendo music to JJ2. Refer to this:
http://beta.dutchfurs.com/~haze/?cat=articles&event=spctoit
However, if you are planning to convert MP3s or WAV files it would be nearly impossible. The reason we like the tracker format is because it is small, and MP3s and WAV files are too large to be quickly downloaded.

MID (MIDI) files are easy to convert to IT, s3m, etc.
Open it with ModPlug, drop your own samples in (I get mine from the Jazz Jackrabbit 2 tracker files) and save it. Play it back to make sure it works. If you need more help doing this let me know.

Short answer: MP3 is too large to convert, and it's the wrong type of audio.
Midi conversions sound fine as long as the midi is good and the samples are good.
Derby: URL removal. You cannot link to the site previously provided.

I can't link to the official OpenSPC site because Derby says.
So I just uploaded it directly to my site.

You can unpack RAR files with WinRAR:

It doesn't exist. Or if it does, I don't know it.

Not that you would need it anyway. Most mods converted to j2b's are probably still available on the Internet somewhere. You just have to find them.

If it exists, then it's *very* well hidden. I did try hard to find it at one point, and failed.
I do have some information about the spec for j2b files (unofficial, incomplete) if anyone's interested. I keep meaning to finish off working on a decoder for those files, as the non-j2b versions of the jj2 music available are incomplete (a couple missing, some differences, no looping data).

Well, if the mod versions of the JJ2 music seems incomplete, try looking for unused patterns. I know that labrat.s3m definitely has a couple of unused patterns in it. Also, keep in mind that mod files may sound different when you use them in JJ2 and in a mod player.

The mod player I use is XMPlay. And by incomplete, I mean a couple of the files are missing. I'm pretty sure there should be another boss music file.
BTW, if you want a good example of a difference then play labrat. The electrical zappy sound never occurs in the in-game version.
