My First Thread! ;)

OK, could anyone find out a way to edit the file 'Anims.j2a' or 'data.j2d' in your Jazz folder? I think it holds all the graphics and info on Jazz 2. If someone can edit it, they might be able to do all sorts of stuff with Jazz 2. I know that there are diferent verion of those files. The 'data.j2d' shereware of TSF could work on 1.23 but they could work on each other with 'Anims.j2a' Can someone release a program to edit those files?

No.

It's illegal I think. Apart from that, I think it'd be difficult to hack into these files.

Pyro isn't going to release any of his sprite viewing/editing tools in near future afaik.

Just like he knows how to decode it. He only found a way to rip them.

That still doesn't change the fact that he can edit them somehow. Either that or I got some two random facts confused horribly.

Stop being mean to newcomers, Cooba.

Anyway, welcome to the JCF. Currently, there is no way to edit Jazz 2 sprites. A community member, Pyromanus, made a program that he does not wish to distribute that allows one to view sprites, but that's as far as we've gotten.

Once the source code for JJ2 is released (if it is released, that is), doing something like this should quickly become possible.

But do we really need those sprites!?

No, but it's cool to see them :)
