All buttons look weird now.

The buttons are antialiased poorly on many layouts. As in, they're horribly, horribly ugly.

The same goes for smilies.

Lori is still broken as a smiley.

The icon for threads you have replied to but have no new replies looks remarkably like an icon for a thread with new replies.

Buttons and smilies look fine to me. In which styles(s) does the problem occur?

I'm using dark and simple, and all the buttons look dumb (ie, "glowing white")

Yes, many of the buttons have a glowy white aura on JCF - Metallic. In general, the new forum/thread icons, as well as the smilies, look ugly in my opinion.

The aliasing problems on icons occur on pretty much every theme except for the J2O one. It also seems that the new "Buddy" and "Profile" buttons don't appear on some themes.

My browser was caching the old images for some reason, so I see the problem with new buttons and icons now.

We can try to edit all the images to look good on darker backgrounds, or we could just put the old images back. What do you think would be better? Personally I think the new ones are ugly even without the problem.

Also, does anyone have the Lori smiley?

Edit: Logging out seems to work correctly now.

I think the new buttons look ugly and gaudy compared to the old, poorly antialiased or not.

I think the new buttons are ugly in general, and would prefer the old ones. Same goes for the smilies.

It all seems the same for me, and I use Firefox.

Anti-aliasing is bad for smilies IMHO.

Old ones are smaller and probably better because of that.

Pfft, the new buttons are ugly and annoying.

That are just the ugly standard Vbulletin 3 buttons.

I say put the old ones back, these ones are extremely ugly.

Old ones please.

The old images are back now. If you use Firefox you may need to refresh pages to see the changes.

There may be some new images in use that weren't in the old version, such as for the Who's Online, Statistics, Birthdays, and Calendar sections at the bottom of the forum index. If anyone wants to make an "old" equivalent for those to match the rest of the images, feel free.

http://www.jazz2online.com/jcf/images/misc/birthday.gif http://www.jazz2online.com/jcf/images/misc/birthday_small.gif http://www.jazz2online.com/jcf/images/misc/calendar.gif http://www.jazz2online.com/jcf/images/misc/stats.gif http://www.jazz2online.com/jcf/images/misc/whos_online.gif

More bugs may appear as we manually update some templates.

Ok, i like graphics so i made some simple ones that will match the other images.
Hope you like them. ;)

Note that i hosted them at ImageShack, that means the file names are something changed.

The "new posts" table is still messed up - the column headings don't match the column contents (and there's a black box in the top-right as a result).

I have no idea what anyone is talking about. All buttons and all themes look normal, and Lori similie is still dead...

It's may the difference of the browser you use, that will mess up the style...

But Link, are you there? Do you like the images i posted?

May I suggest making the thread starter link either be visible as a link (with the usual blue colouring and underline) or not a link. As it is it doesn't look like a link but it is.

Hover the mouse over the name of the thread starter in a topic list, and you'll see.

Too lazy to explain? Well I will then. I didn't understand what the hell he was saying at first. Now I do, he thinks that I'm replying too late, and the bugs are already fixed. Maybe they are, may they are not, who knows. I guess it depends on what browser you are using that you would see the bugs. As I am using MSN right now...

Okay, If you look at any topic listing (let's use this one http://www.jazz2online.com/jcf/forumdisplay.php?f=14 as an example), for each thread it has the thread name and then underneath that the thread starter. Taking this topic as an example, the thread name is "vBulletin Upgrade Bug Report" and the starter is "Link". Hover your mouse over the word "Link". Notice how the mouse pointer changes (usually to a hand) to show you that that is a link. Notice also that the word "Link" doesn't have the usual blue colour and underline that is used to show that something is a link.

Okay? (or do I need to go through the hassle of taking a screen shot and uploading it to geocities)

Edit: link colour may vary (with default scheme it's red, with JCF blue it's blue)

Ok, what you said is not happening for me. Anyway, I was referring to how everyone is talking about why the buttons look weird and ugly...

I'm curious as to why the formatting for thread listing was changed? It doesn't look bad, per se, but it's more awkward and not what most people are used to. I also don't think the ordering of the right columns is logical. Personally I find seeing the number of replies/views more important than seeing who made the last post and when. I also liked having all of the thread starters listed in a column, what was so bad about that?

Basically, in a thread list, the name of the thread starter is a link to their userinfo but does not appear to be a link. Okay?

Myself I (while being very thankful for them having been made) think your images are a bit monotonous, Slaz. They do not really fit into the colour schemes (they look better on dark backgrounds btw) and are a bit one single colour, which makes them less slick than the current ones which use all sorts of shading.

Are my messages monotonous?

And anyway, Fquist, read your a PM, there i likely replyd on that...
