Dalspots, this is what I drew a few days ago. I never draw anything... so you can imagine the difficulty...

I also only had basic color pencils at the time... I now have 12 earth color pencils as well... we'll see what I do with those...

I dunno if I'm ready to draw Jazz yet...

Watership Down? Isn't that a book or something? I didn't know it had anything to do with rabbits.

hell yes. Read it. It's very feral... you'll probably like it I'm sure. :)
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0380002930/ref=pd_pym_ka/102-1011441-0794557

It only costs $7.99 (US).

Don't read the sequel though... it sucks.

Also, watch the movie.

A great book and movie for people with that: "inner zebra"! (-Trafton)

Mmm.. if anyone plays Furcadia they can find me there.... I'm "Hazel-roo". I'm working on a Watership Down dream.

I haven't read the book, but doesn't that drawing look a bit too much like a completely normal rabbit instead of a character from a book? I mean, if that's how it looks, shouldn't it be put in a situation described in the book? Otherwise we wouldn't know that it's actually of a character instead of a regular rabbit.

..Furcadia? Is that some kind of furry MMORPG?

The character is actually from the movie, it's not only how he looks like described in the book.

I watched the movie, but it's way too bloody for me.

It's a good drawing though, great for someone who usually does not draw.

MMOSG... social game...

I'm gonna set it up so that my dream is kinda like the book... where we have to avoid getting killed by predators and stuff... I have so many ideas blazing right now. :)

The rabbits had to be anthropomorphized a little for the movie...

Here is the original picture I used as a reference for the drawing above..

Yep, it's indeed good. ^^
Maybe if you copy enough drawings, you'll be able to draw them on your own.

Furcadia is an MMOSG. The world consists of 9 areas based on the type of existance you want to have.

Vinca - The top of the hierarchy (all areas below reside in this nexus)
Meovanni Village - Persona Play
Imaginarium - Role Play
Naia Green - Community Center
Challenges - Games
Acropolis - Socializing
Furrabian Nights - Sexually explicit or violent (18+ only)
Haven - Old Friends
Allegra Island - Uploads

People create their own dreams (which are maps/levels made with an editor), patches (the graphics within the dream), and Dragon Scripts (the scripting language used to control events within the dream). Within each of the main areas are portals to dreams others have created. If you're in luck you can find a good spot to stick your dream, and others can get to it from the portal.

Within each dream/area you have the choice of being one of 7 types of animals.
Feline, Canine, Mustelid, Lapine, Equine, Rodent, and Squirrel. Additionally there is some other special species you can be by becoming a Silver member (pay).

You choose your colors, gender, and write a description about yourself in the 1st/3rd person.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyway... When someone enters Watership Down they become a feral rabbit no matter what species they are by default. The dream would have a large field with fences and trees as obstacles. There would be a large underground warren for the rabbits to keep safe in. If they ventured above ground they would be exposed to a sort of game... Either by punishment or choice one of the players would become a fox and would hunt the rabbits to stay alive. The rabbits have to go above ground to eat to stay alive... sounds like fun, doesn't it? It's really fun to chase or be chased. Those who die would be ejected from the dream and would have to come back through the portal...
Of course that is only the game mode... you can relax without having to run and eat all the time...

Eventually I want to get a lot of players so that it will be Watership Down-esque...

Hmm... a Jazz Jackrabbit dream would be cool, too... but I wanna put time into WD instead...

I guess I know what you're talking about, in the Netherlands there was some animation series a few years ago. Only at our place it was called "Waterschapsheuvel". Now try to pronounce that :D

By the way, nice drawing.

That dream sounds cool I'm known as Yurp the Squirrel over on Furcadia. I don't make dreams though, that editor is so confusing.
