Not "active" is just a different way of saying not enough votes, because I doubt they came to that conclusion in any other way. But I think the ladder was doomed to fail anyway. Just look at Soldat which also was closed, and it had almost three times as many votes as JJ2. They claimed it "is not a really competitive game," which IMO they could easily apply to JJ2 if they wanted to be spiteful.

If you ask me, I say it's just as well. This community has enough resources to create its own tournaments and whatnot, and not having a spot on ClanBase isn't a big deal. But I admit it would've been cool if ClanBase accepted JJ2.

soldat is a 2d sidescroller. Quite fun actually, also free.
Definetly worth downloading.

Enemy Territory is free, has a bigger community (at least in Europe) and way better. :-)
