Took me about 10 minutes on the outline, 5 on the shading. More like 9 on the shading if count the time I took to study Nick's shading(still makes no sense).

Anyways there it is, Sonic done in 'Stadler Style'(inspired by the JJ1 comic), with some shading I still don't understand.

But you see people, just because you have paint it's not an excuse to use it as an excuse because your sprite/drawing plain sucks. Because stuff like that can be accomplished.

Not too bad. The spikes at the top are too rounded, and his left hand is too far in the foreground.

Exactly. So blame it instead on not having an optical mouse :)

Thanks for the compliments/criticism.
I made the spikes rounded because that was how they looked in the comic.

I think it looks nice. Seeing as how I could never sprite, most anything sprited looks good to me.
Sonic having spikes rounded seems natural, if he's not in a defensive pose, so I think it looks okay.
