Your problem if you don't buy it legally (you CAN, trust me).

Ok, just alienate him just because he got it illegally. I'm sure you're just an angel who got everything legally >.>

Ok, now I've got that out of the way, yes you still can get any Jazz2 game legally, used tho, on EBay or some other auction site. Contrary to popular belief it is not freeware (I really should put this in my sig, I'm saying that often enough).

The problem with rips is that sometimes they are incomplete. As for the missing cinematic, I'm afraid you'll have to ask someone nicely...

I'm not saying I got everything legally, but I'm getting tired of dudes having problems with JJ2 because they downloaded it.

I think TSF has the same ending sequence the normal version of JJ2 has....

May I just edatoralize this one thing...

Jazz Jackrabbit 2 is now an old game that has not been yet made freeware. Thus making it illegal to download. However, due to the extreme rarity of it, I can understand having done so, but what I cannot understand is why people come to the currently largest Jazz2 community, asking for help because of it? That's ilogical. So, in the future, this should be remembered, as this community seems not to tolerate illegal versions of Jazz2.

That's all I have to say. And if you have TSF, just combine to two to make up for missing files.

I'm afraid no one will send it to you, it's about 10 MB big even when zipped. =o

If you have both Jazz Jackrabbit2 and TSF. Why don't you copy the ending sequence of JJ2 to the TSF dir? They are both the same.

Cool, lol, female. We should have a gender icon thing on the side panel of our posts. Lol, not just you now...I'm really tired of people saying that. When will you guys realize that Epic doesn't care anymore about JJ2, and we won't get sued if we link to JJ2 downloads...It's just something that everyone has to learn to accept one way or another.

LittleFreak
Mar 20, 2005, 11:08 AM
It's not that Epic could care, but Derby could care.

Bjossi
Mar 20, 2005, 11:10 AM
And why should they sue? You don´t even need the CD after installing the game...

But your best chance on getting the game is by using ebay or amazon or some other big internet store.

Tubz

Nor do you need a CD-Key to install the key...

You don't have a avatar???

Ok, get this if you want to fuse JJ2 and TSF together...
http://www.geocities.com/atlastsome/jj2/Files/Combotools.zip

Allowing both, 1.23 and TSF to share levels, tilesets, music, episodes, etc. can only be performed by creating a combo which is what these tools are for. These tools are used to create a fully-working combo of 1.23 and TSF in the same folder. If you're new to Jazz I recommend you not to use these tools. -------------- 540 KB

Bjossi, you forgot about Windows 95 and 98?

Tubz (http://www.jazz2online.com/jcf/member.php?u=167) nay I dun have an avitar as yet dunno where to get ones that are able to be used thats all

Sonyk

You don't need that tool to make a merged version of 1.23 and TSF since they're so similar. Just copy files from TSF over 1.23, and you get a TSF-1.23 combo.

But keep 1.23 on your drive to join 1.23 servers, and make 1.23 levels. Simple as that.

i think my version is 1.00 though i got it off and also got the TSF off there also.

Sonyk

Most abandonware sites have version 1.00G. If it's TSF then it's 1.24, no matter what.

If your online, whitelder...delete that link before the administration gets to it ;) S-K, the download that I linked to is the easy, painless, & safe way to merge the two. And besides it would prob be better to put the 1.24 files in the 1.23 folder because 1.23 is basically the more dominant game and I think of 1.24 as an expansion pack. You should also mess with TSF and get it to join 1.23 servers, that's helpful. This technically isn't illegal to do, but the administration thinks it is. S-K, maybe not...if you get that illegal update to 1.23 (isn't that called 1.24 also?)

That's the wrong link anyway. I'm not gonna post the real one though.

Didn't get everything when you downloaded an illegitimate version, but still interested in getting it all? Now's a great time to actually buy the game.

They did.

Didn´t notice on any games I bought back then. I think HalfLife nor System Shock 2 did.

i think my version is 1.00 though i got it off and also got the TSF off there also.

In that case, just buy the game. You got a OEM version there girl, which is kinda like a beta. The retail version carries the number 1.20

There is no reason to buy the game for one file. But in this case, I might say ok since It's the beta version. Keep 1.00 though, It's a cool thing to have around
