My apologies for the other completely pointless thread, I accidentally screwed something up but realized too late that I couldn't delete anything.

Anyhow, I just made a new tileset converted from Alien Carnage but I suck at making levels, and was wondering if anyone out there would like to.

I just uploaded the FIXED version to J2O, luckily I caught the mistake before anyone downloaded the crappy one.

Your choice. It should depend on what you want to do, I just want to see my tileset get used >_<

I plan to make an SP pack with Chandie, so if the set suits me I'll probably use it. ^^

And if that pack ever comes out. I haven't checked it out yet, but will do so sooner or later.

Maybe if I have time left ill make one.

Ill make a small example level for ya. ok

Edit: this tileset is 1.24. If you can make it 1.23 please.

this tileset is automasked which makes almost everything unusable, please first make a good mask then ill make a example level.

I'm kinda new to this whole thing so bear with me if I make (a large number of) mistakes. :P

In the original game, tiles were either completely solid or not at all (in front or back of the main character) or as part of the parallax background, not sure how to go about remasking.

As for the compatibility, I didn't even realize there was a problem to begin with :P, a little more insight would be appreciated

I just read through the page, I've uploaded a new version with a new mask, elements that can never be collided into have no mask. I still don't know anything about the tileset compatibility though :P

Edit: I just searched the forums, could the compatibility issue be caused by compiling a tileset with a later version of JCS? If so, where can I one that supports Jazz2v1.23?

You can't, not without first owning 1.23 JJ2, because 1.23 JCS comes with 1.23 JJ2, which is different from TSF JJ2, and TSF JJ2 only has TSF JCS, and that won't work with 1.23 JJ2, so if you want your tileset to be compatible for both versions, only use 1.23 JCS. :p  :D

I would also love to see my last tileset used, just once. Bleh. Keeps me from doing tilesets.

Oh well. I really don't mind.

I betcha I could make a half-decent one with solid masking.

In fact, if the original is still up, I'd use that just to prove it.

Mystic Isle (http://www.jazz2online.com/J2Ov2/downloads/browse.php?resultSet=5762), right? I used your set twice myself, although I'm not finished with either. Also, I just noticed that the tileset is called Mystic Isle yet the download has it listed as Mystic Island.

With that being said, I go on topic. Aok, you should find someone to build that set in 1.23 JCS for you.

Well, there's always the possibility to ask nice mister Fawriel if he'll do it.
In fact, I think I might... hee. Idea.

Also, what BlurredD said.

The hooks and ladder is till unusable as vines, look again in on the site. The rest is fine though.

OH YEAH!! I totally forgot JJ2 has those things :o
My bad for being an idiot and automatically assuming Jazz had a jetpack :P
