Would someone please explain how to make screenshots in Jazz Jackrabbit 2?

An alternative is pressing the print button, opening paint and hitting CTRL + C.

Alt+PrintScrn copies the active window. To avoid the big black box, take your screenies while windowed

For me it works with the button called print.

However, you're right about the CTRL + C thing, it should be CTRL + V.

You cannot used a hotkey to paste an image in Paint. Use edit-paste, instead...
