Jazz X new preview level

i picked a lvl and you can try it, its hard and its kind of big.

Hmm. I guess it would be managable if you had a chance to collect some powerups in previous levels. The whole thing is very chaotic and it's hard to figure out when more enemies will respawn, or what will hurt you and what won't.
It has some technical flaws, too. For example, I don't think the dragons hid inside the blocks you stand on in the beginning are supposed to hurt you while you're standing on top of them.. but it happens.

The dragons that hurt you while you're standing on them are annoying. You can't destroy the enemies without getting hurt a load of times. The spring crate spawns in the wrong place sometimes. I didn't get past the part after you go up the spring because of the annoying enemy placement.

Finally got it from someone else on MSN... It was... Special... Not 'very' cool, as I expected from Jazz X... But I'll wait untill it's completed. I'll have my say then.

*By the way, as you know, Jazz Jackrabbit is mostly played by kids... Referring to terms as (-) and (-) HE ESCAPED might cost you some points if you upload it...

lol cooba ;P, the boss/team work levels ar harder. And this level was in easy mode i can say.. Every level has easy/normal/hard mode

You shouldn't overdo it. Hard levels are fun, while unfair ones aren't.

use layer 3 as a devan tile, jazz beneath under the ground of the layer 4 tiles. when jazz jumps devan jumps

That would look dull because Devan couldn't be animated properly.

Here are the problems:
-Get hurt by null space.
-Too many regenerating badguys.
-Too hard, ON EASY.
-Spaz can't get out of the place with TNT.
-Swearing. (I will cut any level with swearing's rating into 3/4 of the origianal rating.)
-Too many devels.

Good Stuff:
-Tyrian 2000 Boss!!!
-Nice MCE (and SCE?) use.
-Excellent Music
-Good Diffulculty if you turn it down a bit.

There it is! Just work on those and it will be great!

Also getting hurt for no reason *just standing somewere* is very anoying! But its cool to have a boss fight so long.

I wouldn't mind a stationary Devan, but one which could turn left or right when needed will prove to be a problem.

One possible way could be to make a bolly-like spaceship which doesn't face any direction at all. I've seen that trick used in an old level where you play as submarine, it's really good.

Okay. First the level doesn't really look good, just really blocky with a few tile bugs.
Second, hard levels are fun, but levels where you get hurt no matter what you do aren't. There were at least 2 times I got hurt and couldnt avoid it. Regenerating enemies aren't fun either, once I kill an enemy I expect it to stay dead =P. The boss battle with all the bubbas was also pretty much impossible when you have no ammo and no anything. Too much of an overkill imo, at least give the poor player a powerup or two =P.

Layers set to 0,0 speed are stationary relative to the window, not to Jazz or Spaz's current position, which varies in relation to the window. If you moved at all fast, you would come out from underneath the Devan tiles.
