I used to have the problem of not conecting to the Server list, but now I have conected, and sit there and all the game ssay pinging. Except the ones that are gray but I can enter them. I downloaded some thing from this website it said was necisary for the Internet play, I havn't opened my ports yet, but I was thinking maybe the thing I installed did. I've been reluctant to open my ports becuase of the danger.

Any sugjestoins would be great.

Just wait a short while. Sometimes nobody feels like hosting a working server. It's nothing wrong with your connection.

Also, servers that are grayed out are from a different version than yours. 1.23 can't join 1.24 (TSF) servers and vice versa. However, there is a program (Project Controller 4) that is able to trick your version of JJ2 into thinking it's a different version, thus allowing you to join servers of a different version. However, be careful, as joining a 1.24 server using 1.23 will crash if the server loads a 1.24-only level.

I tried it like 20 times but everytime the games are pinging, and I have TSF, maybe ill re-instal regular and see if it works better...

Re-installing won't do you any good. And I just took a look at the list server. There are no games right now. That's why you're seeing No Games In Progress. It's basically a non-joinable "game" that comes up when no games are being hosted.

You had better get 1.23, almost nobody plays at TSF lately.

Turn off the firewall, see if that helps.

I think your find the reason they see the pinging is because there JJ2 client uses Contrabandent. For the last 4 or so days, the output from it was very buggy, seemed to include a list of servers that werent hosted anymore, with funky version numbers and even some funky ports.

I had a quick look at it now and the bug seems to have cleared itself up, so it should be fine for now, but that could explain why they saw a load of pinging servers in the past.
