I downloaded the patch, and it still says that theres an error connection to the server or something, and when I try and make my own room no one joins, whats going on?

Just for clarity:
1) Are you sure you have Jazz2 version 1.23 and not 1.00G?
2) You are talking about the list server patch right (which is a .reg file)? And not the 1.23 patch.
3) And if you are sure it is the list server patch, you did double click and install it right? Sometimes I get people who just throw the file in their JJ2 directory and don't do anything with it.
If option 1 is the case. BUY the game somewhere. Don't download it from a certain abandonware site like you most likely did. That site contains an OEM version which isn't compatible with the final version.

Which patches did you download? (and did you just download them, or did you actually apply them?)
(Newspaz, it's a shareware version.)

The patch that lets me play on the internet for the demo.

Well, if you double clicked it. You should be asked if you want to install the patch to your registry. So basically all you have to do is press yes.

Basically every default tileset and music... if you are going to get JJ2 for free, get it from reliable sources. ;P
What does this post have to do with a thread about connecting problems, anyway? ;P

Cooba, you're forgetting the Shareware Demo is also missing those files; it only has Diam 1 Night, Labrat 1 Night and Psych 2 for tilesets, same for music, which oddly enough are the only ones missing from that list. The Shareware Demo has its own patch, which can be found here (http://www.jazz2online.com/J2Ov2/downloads/info.php?levelID=571).
Also, it's always best to have the latest free versions available, deal with it ;)

Guys, read the posts! All of them! ;)
As there are two seperate versions of Jazz Jackrabbit 2, spefically the Shareware Demo and the Full Version with different content, each version has it's own patch. Without further ado, here they are:
Patch for the Full Version (http://www.jazz2online.com/J2Ov2/downloads/info.php?levelID=572)
Patch for the Shareware Demo (http://www.jazz2online.com/J2Ov2/downloads/info.php?levelID=571)
Just download the patch for the version you have and run it. Mind you, they only work with version 1.20 and up, they don't work with "Abandonware" aka OEM versions (1.00g).

...not a completely accurate synonym, but it gets the job done.
