Runtime error. Download TpPatch here, unpack the archive into your JJ1 directory and drag Tppatch.exe onto File0001.exe. Now the game should run.

Well then it might be a different error. Right click the pif file and select properties, go to Program and de-select the option to close when finished. Now confirm, run it, and write here what it says.

No runtime error. He's running it on XP, which doesn't have any DOS foundations to work with. Try DOSBox (http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/news.php?show_news=1).

I think tppatch did the trick on my XP machine, so your logic may be wrong JelZe.

Actually, I'm sure you get the Runtime Error because I just tried. TPPatch DOES fix this provided that your FILE0001.EXE is writable and you run it in the right way.

1. First copy Jazz and TPPatch to the same directory on your harddrive.
2. Now drag and drop FILE0001.EXE to TPPATCH.EXE and not the other way around as described above.

You still need TPPatch for XP, but Jazz doesn't work well in XP, at least for me, I suggest DosBox

There's some manual on the forum I made for JJ1 with DosBox
