Slow Java-based apps?

Java runs slowly.

This game runs at about 10 fps.

I have a Athlon at 1.6 Ghz, 1024 MB of RAM, A 128 MB Graphics card, Win98SE, and I have the problem on both IE and FireFox.

Well, DO expect much. I think you should be able to run it at at least 30fps.

Are you sure your PC is free of spyware?

Odd. Runs very smooth here (I tried the Arcade mode), and I've got an Athlon 1.3 with 768MB ram, and am running Win2k. I'd suggest running a spyware scan with Ad-Aware and Spybot.

I'd like to help, but the game won't run at all. :( It is just stuck at the loading screen, after I chose a character class.

EDIT: Ok, I ran it in IE, and it will play now. But how do you look at the FPS?

Guess for the FPS. It's an estimate. And my Compy is 100% Spyware Free!

It's the system requirements of the game. I'm running 98SE, they want at least 2000.
