Hi. I'm making a pack which is a little too big for me to do it all by myself. I'm looking for some person or people here who is/are essentially incredible at level design. If you are interested in working with me on this pack, please send me an example of your best (SINGLE PLAYER) work. If it's unreleased, don't worry, I won't show it to anyone. Please send me some sort of level which is in some way awesome or original, not just an extremely solid level which could have been part of the original game.
Here is a screenshot to show that this pack actually exists and is being worked on:

EDIT: Also, please do not respond if you don't actually have the time to work on levels.

I'm tempted, but it depends on what the general idea of the pack is and how much freedom you will give the level designers.

<strike>It could give a place for all of the SP levels I made, too.</strike>

I have okay skills but no free time except mondays and wendesdays for about 5 hours

I'd be willing to help out in small amounts, although I don't really think I'd make that many major contributions since I have my own level pack to make. I could make a level or two before I start episode 3 of my pack though, since I'm wrapping up episode 2 right now and feel like taking a few months off before continuing with the next installment.

You've played my levels before, but if you want something more recent, I'll let you test episode 2. Actually I'd like thay anyway becuase you did a good job with the first one.

Good luck with the level pack. It's not easy to finish these things, especially when you rely on other people to do some of it.

Sounds good. If you mean by avoiding the conventional SP style gameplay (running around roasting enemies, finding things, avoiding obstacles, puzzles etc). Depending on the freedom, I may participate.

Same.

http://www.jazz2online.com/J2Ov2/downloads/info.php?levelID=3469 This is my best level up to date... I should be able to do better, though. I like making unconventional levels, too.
It's okay if you don't want to take me.. just, try to be less harsh than "Sorry, your skills suck too much." or so. ;o

You can count me in. You know where to find my works.

Just so you know, this levelpack is huge enough to need 3 more people to work on, so sign up, people D=

EDIT: Nevermind we have like 4 signups already.

I suppose if everything was going to be planned and discussed thoroughly before any more levels were created for the pack, I'd be more tempted to sign up. An invite only IRC conversation would be one good way.

Oh, plans and stuff have been made. I am not posting anything yet because I need to discuss you people with mr. unidentified cohost. I do thank you all for offering your help so far though, this is a better turnout than I had expected, and I will get back to you when I get the chance.
In any case, Cooba, maybe, maybe not. It is my pack, so I do at least intend to create the greater part of it myself. These hirings are more for the less important levels, so I'm not sure how many people will be needed.

fire_byrd: Sorry, but your relative newness, plus your lack of anything uploaded as demonstration of past work, and limited working time, basically combine to make you not a practical candidate. Good luck with whatever you do choose to create in your own time, though.

blur, Mike, FS, Pic, MB: Excellent. Your offers of aid are, again, much appreciated. I can certainly contact you separately, but a group meeting might be quicker. Can you all be online and available at 3 PM (PST) on Sunday? If a sizable enough number of you are unavailable, I will try to reschedule, but otherwise you will probably just be contacted separately in case of nonattendance.

Huzzah!
Well, lessee...
For anyone else who doesn't/didn't know, PST = Pacific Standard Time, which is GMT ( Greenwich Mean Time ) - 8:00 hours.
That would mean that... 3 pm would be midnight for me and Moonblaze.. that won't work, I've got to be in bed an hour before that.

Sure but for a group discussion, I'd prefer IRC. MSN is too unreliable for me.

My skills aren't good enough to take part in leveldesign, but I might offer my services in terms of betatesting, should it be needed.

All testing for levels will be done by the makers of the other levels. Sorry.

If 3 doesn't work well for Pic and Moonblaze, would people be okay with moving the time back two hours?

Fawriel
Sep 9, 2005, 04:02 AM
Yep, that works. I'd only be able to stay for an hour or a little more, but I guess that suffices.

There is going to be a JDC event at 1 PM on sunday, and I will be at a soccer game at 4:00. 3:00 would be the only practical time for me.

What about Noon? It seems to fit both Mike and the European people.

Okay, so I'm just going to be in #jcstalk waiting for people between noon and three, I guess. Show up or I'll have to contact you privately and be kind of annoyed.

It's hard for me to stick around in mIRC waiting for you to come around, I always play World of Warcraft at fullscreen. If you want to get in touch with me quick, email me (at moonblaze@gmail.com) as it's what I check and respond to most. I appologize for my late response, I don't browse the JCF very often.

I am going to try spending more time of my days onto this community again. But I still haven't got enough time to help working on a level pack. So all I can do is wishing you guys good luck!

Hey, just for what it's worth, people have been waiting days to talk to me about this... if I'm not on MSN, which is often the case, just email me. Most communication should be possible through email. I suggest using violetclm @ gmail . com as I like it more than the hotmail account.
