I've noticed this, and as far as I can tell it doesn't appear to be a bug per se, more of an oversight. There's a specific bit of code used for it, like Spazzes bird eating animation, but shorter.
Maybe its a hidden message?

Maybe, when u press the 1 when it comes, next time will come 2, and so on, and after that...?
I dont know
I must test this.

I've been meaning to take a screenshot the next time I saw it, but I tend to have a slow reaction time or not bother after a while. It would be great if others could try to take some screenshots as well.

Some people do know what this thing is caused by.
Of course, it's a secret. Probably the biggest secret of JJ2.
The only level I can remember seeing it in is in City, and I remember seeing it lots of different times. Maybe it appears more in big levels, or with lots of events?

The biggest secret ever.
I've seen it many times, it might have something to do with Project Orion.... :)
But I didn't knew that it reacts when touching the right button. Cool...

Prolly something like Worms 4's "OMG!!1 IT'S A CRATE". It's obviously there, but not long enough to reach the PrtScr button. :P

Certain persons should please stop acting like they knew things no one else did to prevent me from getting angry and curse at those persons.
OR reveal the information to the public.

by the way, have you noticed that you hear "e-ee" or something like that when you press every number button exept 1? what that means? does it have something to do with this?
LittleFreak
Sep 23, 2005, 09:49 AM
I'm guessing that's some sort of "warning" that the weapon you just selected has only limited ammo.

Has anyone bothered opening a spy window and watching to see if something comes up when it appears?
Just curious.

I'm guessing that's some sort of "warning" that the weapon you just selected has only limited ammo.So it warns you that you're not using the Blaster? Not the most practical thing.
Radium
Sep 23, 2005, 12:20 PM
I think it means they forgot to add the weapon changing sound to the blaster.

Pageclaim.
Explainment: The subject is surprised, he thought that everybody else can get angry and curse at the individuals mentioned in the quoted post.
Perhaps this is simply the remainder of something the developer put in to test their levels/sprites, check that the program wasn't using too much memory, etc. Some function thats no longer relevant but the bug was left in because it wasn't worth deleting.

Oh? I thought everybody else can pretend to know stuff.

Everyone can, but it's not really cool, unless you have an actual proof you know something.
