Whenever someone brings up an idea of Epic making a new Jazz game the main argument is usually: Jazz doesn't fit with todays auidince.
So I took the warner way out and decided to update Jazz and Spaz into theyear 2772.
The only problem is what to name them, which I went to #jj2 for.
Jazz's new name is Jack Rabbit, but Spaz's name isnt decided.
Please vote from the two choices the name you would give Spaz if you had to ruin the franchise.(Note: Slack Rabbit wasnt good enough and thrown out of the finals)

Because Spaz isn't clumsy I think Loonatic would be better...
But Marcus would be my best idea :Z

Clumzy. It has a Z. Zs are COOL. COooooooooOOOOOOOoooooool. Durrrrrh.
Of course, consequently, the best name would be Spazz.
Or even better, SpazZ.
Or maybe even SpazzeX!
IT HAS AN X

Loonatic is too derivative and Clumzy is the opposite of what double-jump can achieve. >|

Every recent plan to bring Jazz back has indeed involved remaking him, although I don't recall hearing of any name changes. I do like "Marcus", though.

The name changes are because Loonatics changed the names of the characters they updated.
Bugs Bunny=Ace Bunny(Earlier on he was called Buzz until a lawsuit)

That was a joke at Spaz's Original name "Spaz Slackrabbit", it's not cannonical to the poll at all.

Spaz is a slacker in JJA. I dont see him slacking about in JJ2.
Using his JJA personilaty would kill the updated characters so fast, WarnerEpic Megabrothers Games wouldn't be able to rake in any dough.

I really think the names should stay cannon. I mean I would be ticked to find out that Epic made a new Jazz game but changed Jazz's character name to something different as well as Spazz.
But how about if you were playing as Jazz Jackrabbit's children fully grown. Then you could come up with new names so you wouldn't have to come up with a different name for the main character.
My humble opinion though. :)
Anyways as for names here's a few: Chad, Razz, and Rene
(trying to stay within four characters per name, I just think it's right)

Doomfrost, thats the point.
The goal is to tick off(or at least surprise) the Jazz crowd like WB ticked off the animation crowd when the animation crowd went on the news and saw these:

Keep in mind, the situation is purely hypothetical.

I should have mentioned you are hypothetically a crack makreting team trying to find a hip way to appeal Jazz to today's audience and have decided to follow WB's example of hyping something up.

I like that idea somehow.
Now, what about a cell-shading look?

It'd be Wind Waker all over again.
Well, not really, since we're a much smaller community. But it'd be close.

The way they would hip up a game like Jazz is if they added blood and gore to the mix, added some butt ugly monsters, and make it look like you were staring at black paper, but thats what Doom 3 is for. ;-)
Anyways if Epic was given the go ahead to create a JJ3. I don't think they would change the name just to make it "hip." (plus think of all the hate mail they would get if they ever decided to.) :D
I don't think name changes make the game hip, it's the content in the game that does. IMHO (In my humble opinion)

Epic gives itself the go ahead, since they own all the rights. :p
But they want to keep their resources for games they know have a higher chance of making profits, so that means more UT games. :(

@Doomfrost: I have some Hip character art too, but the main reason why I wanted Spaz's new name was so I could pick a good pose to draw him in (For example naming him 'Slack' and making him look like hes ready to work would be extremly dumb)

Meh, sorry but... Why would you want a secondary character that was lazy and slacking off? Spazz like Jazz plays a very good role in the game. Spazz is supposed to be wacky not lazy.
(Plus it would be a bad example to the kiddies:
Parental figure: So Billy what do you want to do when you grow up?
Billy: I want to slack off like Spazz.
Parental figure: :\ ) :p

Thanks to all who voted, Clumzy is the name for the updated version Spaz.
As soon as I get my scanner working with my laptop you will see the proposed character designs.(I suggest doing a google image search on "Loonatics" for the inspiration of the designs)

Jazz should be "J-Diddy," have a camo shirt on with baggy black jeans, a baseball cap on backwards, and a plastic "bling" JJ necklace on, along with his red bandana. Spaz should be "S-Unit" and be dressed up by a pimp.
The next game they release should be chock full of "music" and music videos, but not contain any real game. It will get a 48% at Gamespot.

That was the result of being too lazy in the end to actually come up with a redesign for Spaz, and just using the Jazz redesign as a template.

That's actually pretty interesting seeing a completely different design like that.
