Planet WRT 410

I have the Planet WRT 410 Router, and I simply don't know how to forward ports with it. I seached google for manuals or something, but I couldn't find anything. Also, www.portforward.com does NOT support my router.

My Jazz2 version is 1.23, by the way.

Please help?

EDIT: Strange enough, the Router says WRT 410, but the manual (My little brother found it) says WL-8313 802.11g Wireless PCI Card.

I am not using Wireless, but my little brother does (On his own computer). Maybe this helps.

Maybe swapping modems and open the ports with the one of your brother?

I think you're a little confused there. The router and the wireless card are two completely different things. To open a port, you'll first need to get into your routers interface. If you're running Windows, this can be done by going to Start>Run>cmd>ipconfig.

There will be an ip address next to default gateway. Go into a browser and type in http://[primary gateway IP] and it'll take you to your router's interface. If it asks for a username or password though, I can't help you there. But from then on, it should be somewhat straightforward.

Normally, for the username and password you can just type 'admin' into both boxes (Without quote marks of course), unless the default got changed.

I actually have the same router as you, just under a different brand name. I guess you need:

Acces>Virtual Server
and
Acces>Special AP

192.168.1.103 I think. You can check it by looking up your computer name in the table at Main (use the IP address next to it).

I don't know if it works though, so be warned ;)

Apparently a WRT-410 (http://www.planetnw.com/Products/WRT410.htm) has DMZ, so maybe you can try that temporarily (I just can't tell you exactly were to find it within your Web Configuration). Though you might want to use an additional firewall, since DMZ will open up all of your ports.

It asks for a DMZ Host IP. Would I use my own IP there...? 192.168.1.103 is the IP used for my computer.

I can't check if it worked, since there are no online servers right now... :(
