And, please tell me where the Blaster Powerup and the ElectroBlaster powerup are.Blaster is in the first Diamondus level. There's no Gun9 powerup in the official levels.

Also, the Blaster powerup can only be reached by Spaz if you stomp at the right moment as the red spring catapults you through a one way ground and a one way tree trunk, since it lies on Jazz's way...

Great risk of getting stuck, though. D=

The only real times I ever finish playing this whole game is when I do things like this.
Time to start playing.
(Can we add Shareware Demo and TSF to our score?)

What do you mean accessible only for Spaz, Faw?

Fawriel
Sep 28, 2005, 11:40 AM
...I didn't say that, but since the Blaster powerup lies on Jazz's path, you have to use a little trick to reach it if you are playing as Spaz.

...........................noooooooooooooooooooo?

..... okay, again now.

The blaster powerup lies on Jazz's path. Clear.
Spaz's path lies below Jazz's. However, Spaz's path crosses Jazz's as a red spring makes him jump through two one way floors, between which lies an opportunity to enter Jazz's path to get the powerup.

...what's so hard to understand about that?

White Rabbit
Sep 28, 2005, 11:59 AM
I see. ;) But it's a green spring, not red.

Bees on Diamondus as well as some other respawning things allow to archieve as big score as you'd wish if you have enough patience.

Fawriel
Sep 29, 2005, 02:09 AM
It should be a rule to not allow you to kill those enemies more than twice.. or something.

CrimiClown
Sep 29, 2005, 09:29 AM
Just play the levels NORMALLY. Not waiting for loads of bees and such... Or die on purpose, to get the extra life again or something... =\

Anyway, edited the first post aswell. Try to only do the first 4 episodes, and add your character. :)

I wish I could play JJ2. =l

Sep 30, 2005, 07:20 AM
Are we able to add the TSF episode + the Christmas Chronicles ones to it? Those episodes are still official episodes though.

LittleFreak
Sep 30, 2005, 07:33 AM
The topic says no.

Spazkick
Sep 30, 2005, 07:57 AM
Argh, no way that I'm going to play the official episodes again. I know them out of my head from tile to tile. Gimme new levels from the downloads section of this site.

Find them yourself. :|

CrimiClown
Sep 30, 2005, 08:51 AM
Well, Spazkick, this thread is made to COMPARE the highscores from the official LEVELS under the same conditions, and to check if your choice of Jazz/Spaz makes a great difference in score. So, no. :p

DoubleGJ

...And tests your luck with enemies dropping goodies.

Slaz
Sep 30, 2005, 10:20 PM
Do you know homany change you have that an enemy is dropping an item, then?

CrimiClown
Oct 2, 2005, 06:14 AM
Hmm... I read something about that... The chances that it drops a red gem, green gem, blue gem, carrot or fastfire ar all equal. And, IN MY OPINION, this is true.

Wanna test this? Make a level with 100 lizards, without gems or food. Count the drops! I'll prove their odds are equal!

Try to do this 5 times and see for yourself! :p

Slaz
Oct 2, 2005, 06:17 AM
If I want to get many score, then I hope the enemy will drop a blue gem (of course). But if I just want to finish the game, then I like to have 100% fastfire!

CrimiClown
Oct 2, 2005, 06:23 AM
Hmm... True... But, with loads of fastfires, you can also gain loads of score on hard-to-kill enemies, such as the bees in Diamondus. They like to hide underground too... :(

I just finished the game in Cooperative mode with my friend today. Together, we had about 900 000 points I think.

Low score runs are much less abusable and require more skill. There was a thread on that a while ago but not much came out of it

LittleFreak
Oct 4, 2005, 03:34 AM
Mainly because no one could beat you Mike. =l

That was an awesome topic though. Maybe we should revive it and have another run?

cooba
Oct 4, 2005, 06:24 AM
Mainly because no one could beat you Mike. =lMike had 650 after both Castle levels. I had 550 and then I was too infatuated with that to play further. ;<

LittleFreak

My highscore:
Character: Jazz
Score: 1117200
Lives: 54
Times died: 0
Ammo:
-Blaster: 00 (p)
-Bouncer: 8 (p)
-Frostbite: 99 (p)
-Seeker: 91 (p)
-RF Missiles: 54 (p)
-Toaster: 95 (p)
-TNT: 84
-Pepperspray: 99 (p)
-ElectroBlaster: 87
Times cheated: none

Looks like I'm the best so far ( well, DD has a higher score but she died twice and added "a few extra episodes".. *snaps finger* I could've gotten a better one if I hadn't accidently missed some stuff.... like, well, the Medivo bonus level. >O

LittleFreak
Oct 7, 2005, 05:04 AM
... which is good. If you access the medivo secret level and win, you'll start again in the previous level, then access the secret level again, get back to the medivo level and so on.. you would've had to play again right from the start unless you saved somewhere.

I suppose if I fix the warp to Gargoyle's Lair then my highscore won't count?

LittleFreak
Oct 7, 2005, 09:13 AM
Not really. Unless everyone else would fix the warp too.

CrimiClown
Oct 8, 2005, 12:40 AM
Fixing the warp does not count... :p
