Hi guys
I'm new to the boards, so don't flame me or anything for asking this :p

All i wanted to ask is if someone could help me with this problem.
I keep getting "Connection error - timout " after 30 sec or so after i joined a server.
The thing is i have opened every port thats needed ( 10052 - 10054, both UDP and TCP ) and disabled all firewalls.
I just can't seem to bypass this problem whatsoever.
Maybe it's because of my Alcatel Speedtouch router/modem.

I hope someone can help me with this,

Thanks in advance

Alcatel Speedtouch seems to cause a lot of problems in playing JJ2 for many people. I'm not sure a real solution was ever found. Although if it was, I think it would be worth creating a seperate topic for it and stickied.

I have a general idea of where the problem actually is, but I can't be too sure. I suppose it's possible your firewall is blocking the random ports JJ2 uses to connect to games (Link would know something about this). I had a problem like this and I was forced to use GIP or JazzForce to connect to games, which worked for whatever reason. I had to use default colors, but it was better than nothing. I recall that the firewall on my modem couldn't be bypassed completely unlessed I used a bridge, but I couldn't figure it out. I wish I could be of more help.

So i guess we Speedtouch users are doomed :(
and i was so looking forward to play it online.
I'm not really the guy that hosts games, cause i don't make levels my own to host.

If anyone has found a solution for this please tell us!!!

The temporary port range you mean? For Windows that would be ports 1024 through 4999. Maybe you could try opening those ports.
