Hello all

I've been a fan of Jazz Jackrabbit ever since... well, ever since. I've played the Jazz 1 demo until my disk "diskette" was decayed, but never managed to find the retail version. Of course, when JJ2 came out, i bought a copy, so i have the version that has JJ1 included free.

But I want to complete my collection. So in order to have all the official levels, I think of buying CC. Is CC:

a) Stand-alone

b) Just an Expansion Pack

c) Everything, that is the most up to date version, i.e. the original game, TSF and HH bundled in one pack.

So, in short, to have everything, do i have to buy TSF when i have CC, or is TSF included in CC.

Hopefully you can clarify this to me,

regards
Cerne

Stand-alone. All 'expansion' packs are completely stand-alone and will run fine on their own. In fact, it is recommended that you install HH98 and CC.. because they have different menu graphics (especially CC).

TSF is included in CC, but not the actual TSF lvls (you can still play Lori) and your version is 1.24x, not 1.24.

So to be "fully up to date", i'd best get TSF and CC... i think these games are hard enough to get. Since HH98 didn't come out here in belgium, for one or other reason...

Hm, what exactly do you mean by 'fully up to date'?
Yes, they would be the latest versions of JJ2 to be published, and TSF/C.C are technically superior to 1.23/HH98 (support for larger lvls/tilesets and an added character), but I recommend you having 1.23 as well as 1.24, because most people play 1.23 online, and there's no hassle-free way of playing on 1.23 servers with 1.24, and vice versa.

As you've read before, i have the VERY FIRST version of JJ 2. You know, the one in the purple box with JJ1 in it, 1.20 version unpatched. What i mean by being up to date is all the official levels, and the yellow rabbit to play with, lori i think it is. If i ever am going to find those games. I don't download anything illegal, so if i don't find it then fine with me, i'll never play those levels or with lori.

Well, to be up-to-date in that sense, just get TSF and C.C. C.C has the same kind of levels as HH98 but the menu screen looks cooler and is different from the standard one HH98 and normal JJ2 uses.

Unless of course, everyone decides that 1.23x is a far better version to play online on(for some dumb reason) and then you'd need HH98.
But since that wont happen you're better off with CC

To be up to date in your sense of being so, you best buy CC<s></s> and TSF.

However, if you ever want to play online over the internet you should patch your normal JJ2 from version 1.20 to 1.23 using the 1.23 patch (http://www.jazz2online.com/patches/j2patch_123r.exe).

Ok it doesn't matter anymore, since i can't get the games anymore. Went to my dealer and he said he couldn't get it anymore. (-). Should've been faster.

Play it fair or don't play it at all, says I. Except for music, that's a rip off anyway ;)

Uh, HH94 and HH95 are freeware anyway.

JJ1 didn't come with my JJ2, I remember there being a piece of paper in the box that said they were out of stock, and I had to fill some stuff out and mail it to whereever to get my JJ1, but being only nine or ten or something, I didn't bother.

Only the first copies (don't ask me how many) came with jj1 included, i guess. It's a purple box. Actually, a black box with purple slip-on cover.

Actually the American version never came with JJ1, but with a coupon. Just a way to save money I guess.

And we're allowed to tell people where to get HH98?

As HH98 is not freeware, I guess no.

I don't think they sold more games... they went bankrupt after all ;)
