I was browsing through several abandonware sites today after discovering that Civilisation 2 is abandonware (I was looking for it). What I came across while browsing around was not Civ.2, but JJ2!

Here's the abandonware site's J page (so that you don't just think I'm posting it from some random Warez site, and it's proof that none of the other games are Warez). It has JJ2 and JJ2: TS

LINK REMOVED, sorry :(

Since it's Abandonware it is NOT warez anymore to download the full version, so anyone can get all the JJ2 games now for free! I thought this might be useful for people who didn't have The secret files or whatever. My Jazz collection is finally complete! (I have JJ: CD :) )

Abandonware is not legal. It is warez. Unless the company which published/developed the game changes it's license to freeware, it is illegal to download.

The end.

I thought abandonware was when a company announced that their game is no longer supported and can be used for whatever the user deems fit (including releasing it wherever they like). Sorry if I was wrong :(, shall I take out the link?

This will get taken down any minute now (unless you remove the link). As Sonyk (in all his wisdom) said, the game isn't free unless Epic says it is. The end.

I don't know about you, Birdie, but I don't plan to wait around for that long.

This thread has been closed to prevent the delayed referencing of sites that illegally serve the game files.

It may help to quote Wikipedia on this:
The term has no legal meaning. This means that labeling any kind of software 'abandonware' does not make it legal to distribute it. Unless put in the public domain, any and all abandonware remains covered under copyright law.Our forums do not support the notion of abandonware being a legally valid concept, and thus do not support abandonware versions of games in the Jazz series.
