;D!

Anyways count me out, dad's constantly trying to sign me up for some random camp. I hope that his liver fails so I wouldn't need to endure yet another summer camp.

Has any more progress been made on WC2006 plans? It's getting to the time of year when people are planning their summers, so it would be good to at least have a definite date.

I agree. I need to know what days to take off work.

My God, what an exciting series of events you have planned. Throw in a trip to the library and I'll be taking the next plane ticket to Seattle.

Where are details on the hotel that was decided upon?

The date will be August 1-7, with the 1st being an arrival day and the 7th a departure day.

None of those are confirmed events. The biggest single complaint about EC2005 was that we tried to do too many "planned events." I just copied a list of even semi-theoretical things to do from a web site. After all, what did we do during EC2005 that was planned? The theme park and the science centre were pretty much it, and the latter kind of sucked.

A lot of fun is just walking around, like it was at EC2005.
Just walking around owns, as long as we don't get shot. A bunch of geeks walking around Seattle always creates attention. ;p

Good news for me is that my tentative exame schedule says I won't have to worry about anything until the 8th, meaning that I should be able to come for most of the thing provided nothing changes, and nothing else pops up.

FYI: if someone is going to be in for just the weekend and has a sleeping bag I should be able to put them up for free in my apartment. I'm planning on showing up for events on Saturday and Sunday (and maybe Friday night depending on what's going on/if I can easily get into the city.).

I'm living in Redmond which is probably 30-40 minutes outside of Seattle and I've got a car so getting places shouldn't be a problem.

How DARE you even SUGGEST two hotels that don't mention internet. I have lost faith in you, Trafton.

You're forgetting the two best attractions: rain and Starbucks.

I wonder if we could find some place to do go-kart racing. That would be fun.

Hotel rooms are going to become difficult to get, if they aren't already. We need to decide on a hotel within the next week, as well as determine who is planning to attend. I can take an active role in organizing this if necessary.

I agree. I also will be unable to attend unless I know what's going on so I can take off of work and such.

I just got mail from the hotel saying, "We donot have wireless yet we will have it probably by the middle of this month".

So that sounds promising, though you know what kind of experiences we've had with hotel wireless internet!

There are many things that we could do just by being together: ToD for instance.
