I guess it does exist, just like 1.21, but I have never seen a place to download it from. Or maybe they were made, but not released at all until 1.23.

Yeah that often happens with patches, they make a 1.22 or whatever but then withdraw it due to more bugs etc and make newer versions of it without it ever being released, hence there only being a 1.23, .20 and .24

I think there never was a 1.22 patch. 1.22 was the version that came on some people's original game discs.

There was a 1.22 patch - I installed it. It was on Epic's site, but only for a very short period of time before 1.23 was released. I might still have it deep in the bowels of my old PC.

Were there any noticable differences at all?

...so basically, 1.23 patch overwrote 1.22's fixes for some reason?

My game was just 1.20 when I first installed it. And if you use TEC on TSF you have 1.21. I didn't used or downloaded 1.22 though.

I didn't know that there ever was a 1.22 patch. My CD just came with it.
And then I installed 1.23 and no more slide event ;(

Repeating "<name> captured the flag" messages. Fixed.
Heh heh heh. I wonder what happened to that.

1.22 seems to even be better than 1.23. ;( ;(
Let's all convert to 1.22 if BN still has the patch program! :D
..wait, it can't run 1.23 levels.

- Removed dead bodies
Aw, that sucks, it'd have been pretty cool if it was at least an option to let all roasted rabbits stay in the level ^^

I'm sure we could all convert our 1.23 levels to 1.22 levels.

My CD's 1.20.
-EDIT- Oh and yes, I have seen that glitch in a 1.23 server, Battle Server (Host: The Server). I roastied The Server and the roasted body stayed, and when I roastied another random dude the body moved.

My CD couldn't be 1.22 because I bought the game in 1998. And I think converting levels to 1.22 wouldn't be hard...

I'm not sure what would be involved in converting levels to 1.22, as 1.23 didn't seem to change the .j2l format at all... passwords were already there. Does anyone know if there is some actual difference between levels saved by a 1.22 JCS and a 1.23 JCS?

Levels made in 1.23 JCS might break 1.22 JCS. Somehow.

It was? I didn't have time to check.
Ok, there is no plausible way for 1.23 levels to break a 1.22 JCS.

i think that they are the same JCS

1.22 is the american release as far as I know, I have all JazzCDs and 1.22 was the american one in a white style box with yellow logo, I got mine in a Holiday Gift Box that came with JJ2 1.22 and Holiday Hare 98 and other more games.
Besides, I think there's no difference in 1.23 and 1.22 levels

No, my American release was 1.21.
1.21 = Version Epic released
1.22 = Version GOD Games released/Epic sold online via download

Does 1.22 really have anything to offer, or are you just assuming it does?

Is it certain at all that they really fixed the flag bug in 1.22 and did not just think they fixed it but didn't actually fix it?
