Try and guess if I'm doing this because I'm bored out of my skull, pointless, or just that stupid.

Diamondus - Could it be all those diamonds?
Tubelectric - Must be all the tubes and electricity.
Medivo - Has that 'dark ages' atmosphere.
Letni - Its Intel spelt backwards.
Technoir - Very high-tech place. [Noir is also french for black]
Orbitus - Probbably due to the fact that if you jump high enough you'll go into orbit.
Fanolint - It has fans in it, yes it does!
Scraparap - Why would anyone call a galactic junkyard that?
Megairbase - Devan thought it sounded 'cool'
Turtemple - Its a turtle temple; 'nuff said.
Nippious - Cold out today. Brrr!
Jungrock - A weed covered rock, it practically named itself.
Marbleara - Possibly a pun on Marbella, formerly well known for its marble sculptures.
Slugion - A birds paradise.
Dreempipes - I have no idea why they named it this, none at all.
Pezrox - A pun on a long forgotten penal colony
Crysilis - After the greek word for gold, chrysollos
Battleships - C'mon, you don't need me to tell you this one.

Scraparap - Why would anyone call a galactic junkyard that?

Maybe because it's all 'scrap' as in 'scraping' something. As for the 'arap' at the end of the name, it must be made up like 'dus' in diamondus.

Megairbase - Devan thought it sounded 'cool'

Never really could understand why it was an airbase. Oh well.

Dreempipes - I have no idea why they named it this, none at all.

I had always thought it was for the same reason they named Megairbase; Maybe to make the world seem big.

Turtemple is one of my pet peeves. It's the home to the <b><i><u>SECRET</u></i></b> TEMPLE OF THE TURTLE.

For some you are quite close, but for others you are somewhat off ;)

Technoir: This is more of a phonetic pun, you say it as "Tek-no-war" -> Technowar. That makes more sense since the planet is a warzone. Hardly anybody gets this.
Scraparap: Junk equals scrap. It just sounds good.
Marbelara: This one's two-fold. You got the marble structures right, but from space, Marbelara looks like a marble! You really need to play the game in order to get it.
Dreempipes: it's a fuel refinary, hence the pipes. In a bit of a joke, the enemy turtles sleep when not in fuel/water! Also, the music has a calm sleepy evening setting.
Pezrock: Come on, any of you remember PEZ? All the bricks are shaped like PEZ candy treats. PEZ Rox! :P
Crysilis: Crystals, although you did make a good point with the gold, as most crystals were gold-colored.

Dreempipes - Pun of the term "dream pipe," used to describe technological breakthroughs that didn't happen yet.

Also, the level planets for episodes A,B,C, and X.

Exoticus- Before Devan took it over, this was probably a hot intergalatic vacation spot.

Industrius- Smoggy, New Jersey-esque planet.

Muckamo- Swampy. Another New-Jersey style planet.

Raneforus- Covered in rainforest. Generates over 90% of intergalatic oxygen.

Stonar- Huge planet that's basically stone.

Deckstar- Huge planet-turned-starbase, ravaged by war.

Ceramicus- Look at it! Looks like a bunch of pots.

Deserto- It's desert. It's a planet. <s>It has an artifact that can bring people back to life.</s>

Lagunicus- Ocean planet. Like the movie Waterworld, except less stupid.

Holidaius- Was probably Chrismacus before, but the horrible prattling Liberals warped back in time and made Epic feel guilty and made them change the name to Holidaius. Or something. Also home of Christmas Headquarters.

Candion- Oh come on. It's made of candy.

Bloxinus- Intergalactic toy shop.

I always thought Dreempipes was a pun on the game Pipe Dreams or Dream Pipes(I can't remember the name off the top of my head)
