Hey, thanks for any help in advanced....

My dad wants Windows to be in hebrew on his computer, is it as simple as borrowing a Windows cd from a friend who has it in hebrew? how do i install it over? is there anything i should know or any simpler way to change the language of the windows?
P.S. we're talking about Windows 98.

You just had to throw that in didn't you :P

Getting an install disk in Hebrew would probably be the simplest way to do it (not to say it is the best way), unless I'm wrong and somewhere there is an option in Win98 to change the language like there is in XP (accessed through the control panel of course.)

In general you can easily install a Windows98 installation over an existing one. But who knows what strange problems you'll come across now you are installing one in another language.

i'd say go to control panel, brouwse around a bit, its somewhere, you can install any language, including aincient greek, chinese, hebrew and anything other than english (somewhere like 200 languages)

itas all there, but you migt need a windows cd (I even think it doesnrt even have to be a hebrew cd, just your own cd is okay..)
ofcourse, non windows/office programs will still be english or whatever language you installed them.

Lots of people still use Windows 98, either because they don't want to upgrade since it works for them, they can't upgrade because they don't have the proper specs, or because they don't use a computer that often and have no need to shell out another $100 for an XP upgrade.

Plus Windows 98 is able to play the PC port of Maui Mallard. It owns XP.

I didn't find anything in the CP. can you direct me and tell me what it's called or what file it's under?

Unless I'm mistaken, that's only in 2000 and above.
