How does this work? It got brought up recently in discussion with Blade's tileset, but how exactly are your levels unplayable in JJ2? Does anything actually happen to you, or does the level play fine as it seems to?

Well, the example level plays just fine, but I haven't created anything new with the tileset.

I've ran into it once in a while.. I'm not sure what the exact problem is, but from what I remember you tend to get acces violations a lot while playing the level if you overstep the animation limit.

When you go over that limit I'd be very careful when you have a large number of players in a single server. Things seem to crash all the time.

no, jj2 blows up if you force it too many animations, and jcs tries to prevent you from making levels that make jj2 blow up.

I think it can also depend heavily on how many other animations the game needs to bring into memory. So for example, having both jazz and spaz players increases the animations and may be dangerous.

How about Singleplayer bob? Having over the maximum amount of animations wouldnt really be too bad? Or what would happen?

I can't say that I've tested it with single player too much. I'd assume that if you can play through the level in sp it's more or less safe.
