30 seconds TIME OUT/HELP/

I know that's old question, but i tried to do many things and I still have this problem. I have 30-seconds time outs. I have DSL, Windows XP, Service Pack2, firewall. I tried some program (xp-antispy) to change the time limit but that didn't help me. Please help me! ..AS

It helps people here if you describe what you have tried doing to fix the problem so far, and which firewall you have. If you have a router, etc. What ports did you try opening?

Sometimes (like I), this can only be fixed by unplucking router, if you have one.

I tried to open ports: 10052 and 10054 (TCP and UDP), but I'm not an admin so maybe I cannot open it for myself. I have the standard Xp firewall (it was with service pack2 for xp) and DSL. A tried to change the connecting time limit with the program called xp-antispy V3.55, too. So I don't know from where came this problem. I was playing a long time jazz without any problems. Please try to help me (thanks!)

Dear Reader!
My problem is the next: i opened all ports and i have no firewall, but my server is still pinging. I can play on other servers, and the others see my server, but its just pinging and pinging. I have a cable net and i have a modem.I have WindowsXp.
Please help me if you can or write me if i must to tell some extra information about my computer.

I have a THOMSON TCM420 modem. I don't know nothing about my router. :rolleyes:
